First Post Op Visit 12 Days
Hi, everyone! So I had my first post op office visit today and I have to say, I'm absolutely blown away. My surgeon says I'm doing great, actually amazing, ha! Here are a few stats. At the start of my 2 week pre-op diet I was at my highest ever of 310. On the day of surgery I was 302. Today at my post op visit, it's been 12 days since surgery and I am 283. What!!!???? I lost 17 lbs since surgery! Holy moly! No wonder my pajama bottoms were falling off. I'm due to go back to work in 2 days so that will be an adjustment to get back to, but so nice to get back to my routine. I am however still feeling incredibly wiped out and a bit dizzy. Doc says I need to walk for 30 min 4x a week to start and I need to get more protein shakes and fluids in, all of these in combination is why I'm so tired. All in all, I'm so excited about my success so far! Thanks to everyone for all your support! It is and continues to be uplifting!
48 hrs Post Op
Well, I had my sleeve surgery wed and came home today. I've heard alot of stories that they weren't really in pain, just sore like doing 100 sit ups, and people that felt really good the next day or two and didn't have any gas pains. Unfortunately I'm not one of those stories. My surgeon said my surgery went beautifully, couldn't have been more textbook. But I have been in ALOT of pain since surgery and the gas pain is beyond awful. It's in my left leg, i couldn't lift it in my own, it's in my back, left shoulder and my chest. I woke up at 3 a.m. the day of surgery in so much pain from it, I was in tears, it literally felt like a heart attack. I got to hit my morphine drip every 6 minutes, that was great! I have been able to get down 3 oz the day after and the 2 oz today. 1 oz apple juice, I oz broth and an oz of jello. The juice just sat in my chest like a brick for like 20 seconds then it went away. I'm hoping recovery goes smoothly now that I'm home. I know it will be all worth it in the end, it's just a bit rougher than I was expecting. I am still very happy and excited that this is now day 3 of my new life!!

I got my surgery time for Wednesday. Surgery is at 7:30 and I have to be at the hospital at 5:30. I haven't been nervous at all during this whole process but it hit me this morning. Yep...I'm nervous. Any suggestions from post sleeves on what to bring to the hospital? My surgeon says I'll be there til friday.
