I went to a med spa in Beverly Hills as I had seen...

I went to a med spa in Beverly Hills as I had seen a few before and after images on their Instagram. This was the first time I had IPL and was told that it may hurt a bit. I have had fillers, treatments with needles and lasers, etc., before so I figured I would be fine with it. What I went thru was a horrific nightmare that last forever - it felt like gasoline was thrown on my chest and ignited. I had never been in so much pain. It felt like there was a huge fire within my body and I was close to passing out several times. I trusted this nurse completely so when she said it was normal to have this much pain because the treatment was so intense, I just I just grit my teeth and did my best to carry on. I assumed this was the pain she had told me I would feel. She said she would take the sun damage off my shoulders as well, and they also ended up scarred.
Afterwards at home, the pain never stopped. I called the med spa several times and checked in with the nurse - she was miffed and annoyed that I was questioning her work. The next day I called her office again and her assistant/husband picked up. He was annoyed that I was calling and said it was normal to have pain and to be patient and put Aquaphor on my chest. The nurse also piped up in the background that I had to be patient. This was so bizarre because at this point I could care less about my sun spots - I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN. I then went to a burn center and they were horrified at what they saw. All of my friends and family told me to seek legal assistance because fixing this was going to be costly - and it has been. I have had several oxygen treatments at $500 each while waiting to see what could be done. It has been a year and I am scarred with crepy and VERY hyper pigmented skin. I am so depressed as I can not dress or show my chest as I normally would. I have worn button down shirts for the entire year. The nurse and her ridiculous husband/assistant couldn't bare to hear any complaints or questions regarding her work. They literally told me I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about - please take a look at the photos and see for yourself. I was in the Twilight Zone and I was so horrified and sad that I had trusted them and put myself in their hands. I couldn't believe these people were in business doing this. I later learned that the “nurse” was actually a delivery nurse in the past - not one iota of med spa treatment experience other than hair removal when she was an assistant at another med spa. What a complete farce! I have a wedding coming up and I am so sad that I will not be able to wear the dress style I had always wanted to wear. Their treatment left about 12 different skin colors with large white patches and streaks all over my chest - brown, tan, pink, red , white, grey, etc. etc. In addition I had ulcers appear (the nurse had tried to tell me my skin was "purging" so pimples were coming out - LIES!) When I went back to have her check my chest, she said she must have had the machine on too high!! (no kidding!) and that it was my fault for not telling her! Mind you I was crying and telling her it badly hurt when the procedure was taking place. It’s my fault for being an idiot and not running out of there.
After waiting a year hoping pigmentation would come back ( it didn't) I went to a doctor that I was referred to by three different people when hyper pigmentation came up in conversation and they each said he was amazing, so I figured I should probably see what he was about. He is the owner of a med spa in Santa Monica and he is a dream. I feel so safe and just had my second treatment to correct my scarring. He feels so badly for me and I trust him completely. The IPL treatments I have had did not hurt and he was so understanding and patient with me and explained everything. My pigmentation has been coming back and after a few more treatments, I am hoping my chest will even out.
People, I sincerely urge you to do your research or you can end up like me. The photos the Beverly Hills med spa posted on their Instagram and website were not even their patients! I am thinking of suing them…fake med spa nurse and her idiot husband that acts like he knows all about med spa procedures. Their office is on the second floor of a corner building in downtown Beverly Hills so I assumed they were legit. I am just exhausted by this past year and still so sad...and now in dept from trying to fix this.

I don't really use botox or fillers but started with this med spa and she was great with that, which was why I trusted her with other treatments. She seemed to really care about her patients. In the end, that is all fake. It's a business and I realize that but they just want you to come in for whatever treatments they are pretending they know how to do. I am still horrified and so depressed over what has happened to me. Hopefully I will have better updates from my treatments at Kare in Santa Monica soon! Please cross your fingers for me!
