My good friends recently got lash extensions and they looked SO nice!! I started researching and found no bad reviews! What interested me most was that mascara would be unnecessary! I could have long, voluminous lashes without the hassle, and mess of mascara!! I found a local spa that does lash extensions and they were able to get me in the next day!! I got familiar with the procedure during my research. However, it really is uncomfortable! The tape they use to apply to the bottom lash is the worst! It's just uncomfortable. I think the tape on my left eye was too close to my eyeBALL and it got quite irritated (but after tearing and watering, is fine now) Then there's the almost 2 hour procedure. Lit very still, and close your eyes while she fiddles with EVERY lash. She alternated between eyes which was a relief at times but I kept count of every time she went alternated, and lost count at around 6!! Towards the end I got a little anxiety-is she done yet?! And then I started thinking maybe she was applying too much because you cannot check the results as she goes. I didn't get to see myself until the very end. Lots of combing of the lashes later and then the sealer and then you get to open your eyes. The fumes from the glue weren't too terrible but enough to make my eyes water when I initially opened them. Also, having them unnaturally closed for so long was tolling. Procedure done, 30minutes, and eye drops later, I love them!! The length is amazing!! They are full! There REALLY is NO need for mascara. I can now be ready to go in 5 minutes!!!! I just wish they'd last forever!! I was told that a fill may be necessary around 2-3 weeks.

Hi. They look beautiful. I love them and would love to wear them but they are an expensive upkeep. I just started using Revitalash to see how that would help with my growth. If I am not satisfied with the results then I will turn to eyelash extensions. Oh well, being pretty takes time and money (lol)

Haha you've got that right, it's very expensive to be beautiful!! I didn't really evaluate the price of upkeep. $60 every 2 weeks seems extreme! I did look up Latisse yesterday. There have been a lot of great results from that. A bottle costs around $145 and seems to last awhile. I wouldn't mind giving that a try for a more long-term result. I woke up this morning and had a lash come off when I did my combing and it was heart breaking lol I'm interested in your results. How much was Revitalash?

Hi! I just started it exactly a week ago so no results just yet. I am here in Michigan. I have had extensions a few times before. They cost $150 and beyond here. At least you get better pricing where you are located. It is money well spent because you look beautiful with your lashes, even before you got them you did. They are just a nice enhancement :-)

Oh and Revitalash costs $98. It lasts for many months per the reviews that I have seen. Take a look at some of the reviews. Thats what I did before I purchased it. I wanted to try Latisse but I read the good, bad, and the ugly. I did not like the bad and the ugly so I decided against it :-(

Hi, your eyelashes look beautiful...as they always do when you first try lash extensions. I had eyelash extensions over the last 3 months and if you haven't read anything bad about them yet; Google "eyelash loss after extensions". That's exactly what happened to me. It's not all that uncommon especially if you make eyelash extensions a part of your normal beauty routine. I thought I'd remove them after having them a few weeks and to let my eyes rest (so I kept telling myself) but you get so used to how gorgeous and alive you look with them that it becomes an addiction. I wish I had removed mine sooner. I am now left with bald eyelids and have no choice but to wait patiently until the growth cycle occurs. My advice to anyone who longs for long and lush eyelashes; just use the falsies. It's not worth the shocking horror you feel that moment you realize and see that you no longer have your natural lashes left. Please don't take this negatively, I am seriously in shock at the way my eyes look and if my eyelashes grow back, I'll never be ungrateful for them again. Good luck with yours.

Wow. Thank you for that insight. I did read about some pros and cons regarding eyelash extensions. I came across some who have lost their natural lashes. They had turned to Latisse for help and saw results. I didn't see much of that issue so I figured it was uncommon. I'm sorry about the effects you had. I still have mine in and haven't noticed a major loss in my natural lashes....yet!

Today I went in for the third time (1st-initial set, 2nd-one week later had a fill, 3rd-ten days later another fill). Not completely sure why, but I lose the lashes easily. My natural lash is rarely ever lost with the false lash. The morning after my first fill, I had atleast 10 lashes on my face or in my bed!! I do sleep on my back and if I am on my side, I always put my hand under my cheek so that my lashes do not touch my pillow. But I cannot control what I do in my sleep and apparently I lose a lot of lashes in my sleep. =[ I've been on motorcycle rides, and have ridden my bike in 40mph winds and my lashes have held on. It's between $55-$65 a fill and it's becoming expensive. I'm going to try to wait three weeks for my next fill. But since my lashes are blonde and basically invisible, I will most likely have to use mascara or I will look bald. We'll see.

Hi girls! I also had extensions as I didn't want to bother with mascara on a trip to Portugal and Spain. My lashes looked full and long. Added mascara for more "drama". When I returned home I did a fill (approx $100) as they looked sparse. I then decided...no more. Not only was it expensive but my eyelashes grow fast and couldn't keep up time wise. And, I was loosing lashes. I had to wear strip lashes for important events but found lattise and thankfully my lashes grew. 3 yrs later I still continue to use. Think twice where you spend your money! I haven't tried the other brands as they are not FDA approved but felt we only get one set of eyes! Good luck

I had this done once, I don't know too much about these, but am wondering if done incorrectly can they pull your own lashes out and stump the growing phase?

I don't know that there's a way they can do them incorrectly without you knowing. Or maybe there is that I'm not aware of. Once all of my extensions fell out, with the exception of a few, I noticed the areas that had extensions still applied, lashes would not grow. Mine were put on correctly and I had re-fills done as often as needed. I had extensions for 3 1/2 months which ended in me having bald eyelids (a very shocking and horrible experience). From my experience, they didn't stunt my eyelash growth since I was able to grow them back with the help of RapidLash, but while I had them on, they definitely did stunt my eyelash growth. I've been recommending to everyone just to buy the false lashes. Extensions are beautiful, I just don't think it's worth the damage they do to your real eyelashes.
