After living with acne scarring for the majority of my life, I decided that I'd look into the treatments available. While researching acne scar treatments on the internet, I found Dr. Chesnut on the realself website. After reading all the reviews I decided to make an appointment for a consultation with his office. Dr. Chesnut was professional during the consultation which made me feel comfortable. Kinda hard to do while talking about the scars that have always hindered my self confidence. But he was forthright about the results of the CO2 laser treatment. He advised me that it would take more than one treatment to repair the scars left behind. I went into this consultation knowing that my skins texture would never be perfect. So it was nice to have him not try to convince me otherwise, just so I would buy his services. On the day of my treatment, Dr. Chestnuts staff were just as professional as he was. His nurse Nicole prepped me for the procedure making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Dr. Chesnut returned with Nicole to begin the procedure. The treatment process itself was painless and went fairly quickly. I was sent home to recover shortly afterwards with a skin care kit and medication to get me thru. During the recovery process my face was swollen and red, but I didn't feel too much pain. The swelling lasted about 4-5 days. The discharge instructions were easy to follow and I cleaned and applied the creams provided to aid in my skins recovery. I did experience some break outs during my recovery. When Dr. Chesnut checked on my recovery, yes he checks on his patients himself, I asked about him about the break outs. He explained that due to the skin healing and applying creams, breaking out could happen. I recovered enough to return to work in a little over 2 weeks. His office was more than accommodating when it came to releasing me back to work. My employer was the only bad experience I faced during this procedure. His office was able to accommodate my employers request for my release back to work, without violating my HIPPA rights. Overall, I am very pleased with my first CO2 Laser treatment. And I will be scheduling another procedure here in the near future. I would highly recommend Dr. Chesnut to anyone wanting to utilize the services he provides. It's nice to have someone with all his credentials working in the Spokane area.
