Despite the negative reviews I read, I went ahead with Coolsculpt. I assumed those negative reviewers were overly optimistic and expecting to look like Giselle. I was told I was a perfect candidate, 5'5" and 130 lbs. I have just some extra weight around the middle from kids. I had 3 areas done, upper abs, lower abs and flanks. After $4K and 4 months I saw negligible results - I liken them to a few days without carbs - no change whatsoever on waist size, maintained weight. The Dr. agreed there wasn't much there and offered to do another round on my lower abs and "we'll see if that works before doing more." Round two on the lower abs came and went, only a minor difference this time. After pushing on my part, the Dr. offered to do only one more treatment (they still didn't redo the other sections as promised). Now, I'm a month out from treatment #3. The only change I see is that my stomach is now lumpy, it looks awful. I've never had a lumpy stomach in my life. I have distinct clumps of fat that protrude from my stomach. I am so nervous it will always look this this?! I am so disappointed with Coolsculpt.
I'll add that I had this done around the same time with 3 other friends and my mother, we were at 4 different offices. Not one of us were happy with the results. I'm a lawyer who reviews marketing claims. I am shocked that there's not a class action lawsuit against this company. The advertising is false and misleading. I urge you to not go with Coolsculpt. Perhaps you'd be one of the lucky ones who gets positive results, but for me and my friends it was definitely not worth the money. It may also leave you disfigured. Please save your money and get a personal trainer and nutritionist. Happy to answer any questions.
