Completely Destroyed my Face and Ruined my Looks

This enzyme has devastated my life. I had it injected into my lips and they have lost all volume and shape. They are smaller than they were originally. There is still some hard lumpy filler in my lips too, it’s like it attacked my own tissue instead of the filler. In only three months, my chin has started to disintegrate, I have discolouration all around my mouth and the skin on my face is loose and sagging. My eyes are even caving in. Literally right before I had it done my face was firm and my lips and eyes were normal and I didn’t have any discolouration or indentation, just poorly placed filler. Life-changing and completely devastating. Stay away unless needed for emergency treatment. My life will never be the same. I used to be pretty :(

And on your other post you said it was because of Invisalign ?

I’m unsure of how many units it was honestly, my injector has been dismissive of the issue and has basically brushed me off. I don’t think it was a large amount at all. This is my second round of having filler dissolved after another filler mishap last year that coincided with the Invisalign treatment. The Invisalign shifted my jaw and teeth/bite in a way that changed my face shape And caused my lips to retract further inward, which in itself has been terrible and depressing. I had hyaluronidase injected In my top lip around that time last year too after a different injector hit a nerve, I think it was about 20 units. It was only in the top lip at that point and it completely deflated that area. I ended up having some nerve damage that has been gradually resolving. I had finally gotten a chance to go to a different injector(nurse, supposedly one of the best) about 9 months later to have my lips fixed and they turned out horrible, lumpy and uneven. This injector agreed and said “we’ll go slow with the dissolving, any effects on your own tissue should resolve over the next few weeks” when I asked her about it . I stupidly went ahead and did it against my better judgement out of desperation and I’ve been watching my face just turn to jello ever since. It’s been 3 months, getting worse day by day. I know people will say you should stop messing with your face, but all I’ve been trying to do is gain some self-esteem back from the damage that has been done and it’s just turned out terribly. If I had been adequately warned about the dangers of this enzyme, it would have definitely changed my decision to have it in the first place. The first injector didn’t even explain the risks to me, and I beat myself up every day for not being more proactive in finding out what was being injected into my face. I saw a plastic surgeon today who agreed that it can in fact have adverse effects on your own tissue, and that it’s definitely used too casually as a “quick fix”. He said it should only be used in the event of emergency, And that often times it’s not reconstituted or administered properly to begin with. I wish I had gone to see him from the beginning, but what’s done is done and I have to live with it now.

I am sorry about this. Maybe you are now in good hands, did the surgeon you are seeing now find a solution for you ?
