Lip Lines + Belotero = Instant Gratification! - Hurricane, WV

4 months post

Belotero results lasted a Disappointing 3 1/2 months

WORTH IT$550
I am going to try a peel and a different filler. This was not worth it. $500 bucks and all those shots. I have 3 small lines from making facial expressions. I think there must be a laser to try (or Botox?)

I totally agree with you. I too enjoyed my after from bel otero but it only lasted about 4 1/2 months. Mine was also $500, though they put a small amount in my tear trough as well (didn't really help-in fact I thought after a week or so when slight swelling subsided that it made by 'bag lines' look more defined, so I won't do eyes again. The bel otero in the lips (dr gave me numbing cream) hurt so bad and I bruised, very dark and difficult to cover for a solid week. I am looking for something more permanent but am scared to do a peel or laser bc of various bad reviews and horror stories. Good luck finding a replacement treatment and please share if you do! Ps. Your lips do look great!
I am hoping to try Restylane next in my lips. I've read so many reviews and it seems if you keep up with it, then it may only have to be done once a year. Let me know if you find any solutions and I'll do the same.
I had Belotero for lip lines too. I also do Botox for the upper lip regularly which has made my Belotero last almost a year!! Try it
Thanks, sure wish I could but unfortunately I was tested and have a Botox allergy. I swelled up 3 x when the doc tested my wrist. That was so many years ago and I keep hearing how rare it is to be allergic. I might ask to retest.
On read on RS a review that a lady had micro derma brasion on her lips. I was under the impression that this was for the face only. She had it done in mexico. Check it out w/ ur dr. Everyday they have new technology. Good luck. The fillers nor the fat transfer last and the procedure cost a lot of $$$. Maybe a lip implant? I don't read about that very much on this platform. Why?
I think the idea of having something that resembles a long gummy worm implanted in your lip is not very sexy. In my opinion they look unnatural. I'll hold off until I can afford a lip lift. Thank you for your suggestions. I will do more research on micro dermabration. Nice hearing your observations.
Darn these pesky lip lines. I don't know what to do about mine either. I HATE them. Thanks for your honest review.
I had Volbella XC by Juverderm in Nov. 2016. The product is supposed to last about one year. I had upper , lower lips done and some lines around the corner area of my mouth. It was certainly not without pain but how we suffer for beauty! It cost me $800 but the effects are still evident. I had mild bruising for about three days and some swelling but not serious. Of course, we are all different and can have a different result. I would do it again when the time comes---I have heard before that Belotero, although a good product, does not have long lasting results. You may want to look into to the Volbella XC.
Thanks so much for the recommendation - much appreciated. I have never tried fillers but I think the time has come. I want to make sure I choose one that will last longer than 3 months. I'm also looking at a SMAS facelift with Dr. Harley - amazing before and afters. I'm 49 so . . . the time has come! LOL All the best to you and thanks again. :)

Lines barely noticeable

Over 3 1/2 months later, my lip lines are very faint, hardly noticeable. Still pleased with Belotero.
Will update again in a few months.

I just wanted to add that the syringe was used mainly in the skin in the lines on the upper lip. Just a tiny bit, maybe 1/3 of it, was placed to plump my lips.
Ooops, there's my answer! thanks!
you welcome and good luck with yours too.
Looks wonderful! How often is it recommended to repeat this? Thanks!
It probably depends on your facial expressions. If you scrunch up or purse your lips a lot (like I do), it will be a twice a year thing. Yes, I will do this again, Dr. Blair did an excellent job. Once less thing to worry about.
so the boletero was used a filler in the lips, and not above the lip line? I had a bad injector and she inserted the needle to deep (I was told later) and I was bumpy. I have no upper lip in addition having lines. Would like to get fuller lips. Thanks for sharing!
My doc completely erased all the lines leaving me with nice smooth lip area again with 2/3 of a syringe. I feel if I keep up with it, they will not get any worse. They were mild compared to some lips I've seen, but I detested seeing them appear. I'm sorry about your experience, maybe try it again with someone who has more experience.
Very noticeable, very pretty!
Thank you Evelyn. I'm happy there are solutions and help for facial rejuvenation. You look great too!

One more thing...

My before and after show what a great result I got from my lip injections at Dr. Blair's office.
The bruise faded in 2 days and they look great. They are full and most important to me, the lines are gone. I will update every month. Will add a new picture very soon.
