Lip Lines + Belotero = Instant Gratification! - Hurricane, WV

It all started with a fall....I bruised my upper lip and noticed how much better my lip lines looked with a swollen "fat" lip. My lip lines actually disappeared. I was never a smoker but I have a bad habit of pursing my lips. This caused three deep vertical lines that were starting to really annoy me. :-(
I've been reading about fillers and peels and decided to find out how a filler might work for these pesky lip lines. I was also looking to add a little plumping to my upper and lower lip. It is a subtle change and I'm really liking it. Nothing like instant gratification!
I chose my doctor because of previous good results from fraxel laser treatments, permanent make-up etc. Dr. Blair was very gentle and precise. He was patient as I was not prepared for the lips to be so sensitive and needed to take a few breathers. The results are exactly what I was hoping for! Now, it will be interesting to see how long the belotero lasts.
To be honest, I think the nerve block was the most painful part of the whole procedure. I had a little bruising for approx 3-4 days. I usually have a pretty high pain tolerance if I'm having a procedure done in the morning. Not so much in the afternoon. The belotero feels completely natural. We used one syringe.
I am very happy with the results! Also happy with a little extra fullness in my lips. I am so tempted to add more (and might do so this summer). Now looking forward to having my eyes done next and another fraxel laser treatment. It really toned and tightened my face for a whole year and removed all my dark spots. It was worth every penny!

Thanks for sharing- I think your lips look great.  What are you having done to your eyes?

Thank you Jill. I am having the tear troughs filled next week and in a few months would like an upper bleph.

Keep us posted on how the tear trough filler goes and on the upper bleph!  I'm sure you know already but we have an eyelid surgery community all about the blephs:

Thank you Jill. I have read just about every eye review and it's been a real eye opener. Excuse the pun. :)

I had the whole nine yards (FL,NL,U/L blephs etc) and I def think the belph gives the most bang for the buck, good luck! Love your lips btw, mine were never full but they're kinda shriveled up now, not a good look lol ;)

Did you do any other surgeries besides your neck? That makes no sense he left you with needing more work. I personally would NOT go back to him to do anything. Id find another surgeon who does revisions. Once a surgery has been wronged, its now a revision surgery. Special skills needed. Some areas are way to important to let to chance and hope it will be better. I have done a lot of research on good revision surgeons

I had lipo done under my chin this month to help smooth things out. That is giving me a better definition. I also have a small lipoma under my chin that had he put cortisone in to shrink. That's been helping. I'll see how things look after the cortisone and things calm down from the lipo. I think left side is good, the right may need a little tweak for me to be happy. Luckily, he is a kind, considerate doctor who cares about his patients satisfaction and the quality of his work so I feel it will work out just fine. I have confidence in him.

Jill, I'm seeing 50-50 results on reviews for tear troughs bring filled. So needless to say I am waiting and doing more research. Your thoughts on this?

I think the same way StillSouthern, would love to get the nerve to get an upper or lower bleph. I am looking now for that perfect surgeon and just had a 2nd consult this week. I want someone conservative who will freshen them up, give a natural look. You got very good results on yours, hoping for same. Also, I'm not sure what the answer is for keeping a perfect pout, those lip injections hurt even with a nerve block. Worth it if it's only once a year. I think the results are only lasting 6 mos on mine,

Hello!
I am having this procedure done today at 4:00pm at my surgeon's office. I have never had any injectibles at all so I am very nervous to say the least---a real baby! How bad was the bruising you had after the injections? Could you go out the next day or was the bruising too visible yet? Thanks for you help---I am having lip lines, lower corner lines done and nasal folds.

My before and after show what a great result I got from my lip injections at Dr. Blair's office.
The bruise faded in 2 days and they look great. They are full and most important to me, the lines are gone. I will update every month. Will add a new picture very soon.
