-30 years old, Caucasian of European descent
-fair skin with lots of sun damage (childhood in FL). Large pores on cheeks and dull skin were also issues.
-did a Microlaser Peel with a Sciton Laser. Laser went 20 microns deep on face and 10 microns deep on chest (also significant sun damage) and neck.
-Day 1: Procedure at 12pm- little pain, took 1 Vicodin and used prescription numbing cream on lasered skin
-Day 1: 7pm - needed to ice my face badly, semi-intense burning feeling. Didn't wash my face tonight. Used only ice packs and Avene Spring Water Spray for comfort and hydration.
-Day 2: burning stopped completely, very tight and dry feeling. Used Neocutis Bio Cream and Neocutis Bio Gel (Cream felt better and more moisturizing than Gel - either one was recommended) after 24 hours which helped moisturize a lot. Started to wash 2x a day with Avene Tolerance Extreme Cleansing Lotion (also recommended to me).
-Day 3: 10am - woke up to seeing slight flaking around my nose - skin is drinking up the Neocutis BioCream.
-Day 3: 3pm - flaking on face is greatly intensifying/spreading. Face feels extremely tight and is a little uncomfortable to laugh or smile.
-Day 3: 10pm - almost entire face is flaking off, chest and neck have started flaking
-Day 4: to be continued...

Face is looking good but chest is very irritated. Super tight feeling is subsiding. Used Avene Redness Relief Soothing Repair Mask (recommended to me) and leaving on all day.

Thanks so much for joining us and sharing your journey. Will you be having multilple treatments, or just the one?

How are your results on your chest area? I'm your age and have lots of sun damage in chest/cleavage. Considering this treatment.

I had micro peel done a couple of weeks ago. I wanted the deepest you could go with it. I had absolutely no change whatsoever. No flaking, nothing. Can anyone tell me why? Is it possible your skin could be in such good condition you won't get any results?

You should go back, tell them your unhappy with the results and ask to have the treatment done a higher setting.

Haha don't let them touch your face. If you have had one session and are not happy with that result. Don not get anymore done trust me

I had a light laser peel done, it got red, peeled, and didn't look any better than before to me. It actually seems that I have more wrinkles than I did prior....now underneath my chin is getting furrows suddenly!

I work at a small skincare business specializing in laser hair removal, botox, dysport, fillers and laser treatments (BBL, Diolite, Microlaser peels) Were you told that it at least takes 3-6 BBL treatments in order to get the results you want? We have a Sciton laser which is the among the best, state-of-the-art lasers out there. Stick with it...a BBL will absolutely give you the results you want, but you'll have to have at least 3 treatments.
