I LOVE my New Gummy Bears and Dr. Kortesis! - Huntersville, NC
ORIGINAL POST

WORTH IT$6,750
I had my breast augmentation one week ago and am already writing a raving review.....totally unexpected! I only required pain meds for a few days and am already back to caring for my 9 month old and 4 year old. I had minimal swelling and bruising and the results are what I expected a few months post-op, not one week. I just love my gummy bear implants and would do it all over again.

What size did you get?

400 CC's. I had very little breast tissue to start with, especially after nursing. I'd say I'm probably a C cup now. Glad I didn't go smaller because I would have been disappointed.

Are you going post any pictures?

Maybe, once I'm out of this pretty surgical bra. I'm sure the doctor will post my before/after photos on his website.

NCNC, can you tell me how long is the incision?

I think it's about an inch and a half. He removed my tape at my last appointment and then re-taped, so I'm not really sure. The tape is about 2 inches long, so they can't be longer than that. Hope that helps! He'll remove it on Tuesday. My surgery was 2 weeks ago.

Hi there, I'm scheduled for a BA on Feb 12th. I'm having Natrelle Gel 410's 425 cc's. Do you have any advice, tips, recommendations. Things you wouldn't do without after the surgery. Did the send you home in a surgical bra? How long did you wear one? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Hope all is well 10 months since your BA!!!

Very exciting! I'm sure you're counting down the days. Yes, I was sent home in a surgical bra and wore it for about 3 weeks. Try to wait that long before getting fitted for bras. Most importantly, trust yourself and the decision you made to have surgery. You will probably second guess yourself sometime between now and February 12th. Don't spend the time between now and surgery obsessing about all of the things that could go wrong. Everyone knows there are risks associated with surgery and if you want to find surgery horror stories, you will find plenty on the internet. People tend to post negative comments and experiences more readily than the positive. If you've done your homework and you trust your doctor, everything will be fine. I got myself all worked up "over-researching" and it lead to anxiety issues and a panic attack the day of surgery. So, stay calm! I'm so happy with my results and my experience. It was much easier to recover from my BA than either of my c-sections. Take your meds and take it easy after surgery. I wish you luck!!

Thanks so much for your quick reply. Did you like the bra they sent you home with or would you recommend buying one? What about a special pillow?

Yes, the bra was great!! I still sleep in a bra so they won't sag anymore!!!! I just wish he would have used high profile and not shaped!!! I'm very unhappy! I will be going to see the doctor in two months which will be the six months! Then he will tell me what I should do! He saw the difference too! I can't afford to pay anymore money! Do you think he will charge me? He knows I'm very unhappy and knows he convinced me to try these implants! I told him 390 and high profile and he said no that he would not use the high profile and convinced me! I'm very unhappy and can't believe I let him convince me! Very depressed and having to go through this again!!! :0(((((

The bra served the purpose and was comfortable. It was not cute, but you can buy more fashionable ones very soon. I did not have a special pillow.

Lovers1212- Did you see Dr. Kortesis? I'm so sorry that you're unhappy. I had such a different experience. I felt like he didn't push me in one direction or the other in regards to size or type of implants. They just explained my options. I sort of wished they would have just told me what I needed because I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted. I doubt he will charge his fee if you are truly unhappy, but I assume you will still have to pay for new implants and anesthesia. Good luck and keep us posted!!

I liked the bra because it was comfortable and functional. It was not cute, but you will be able to buy sexy bras very soon. I did not have a special pillow.

Maybe they look big because I'm a small person, only 5'. I started as an A/AA and like I said, I'm probably a C cup now.

I do not personally have before shots to post, but the doctor has them and will post them to his site, I'm sure. I think I'm one of the first patients at this particular practice to get gummy bear implants, so you should be able to figure it out easily. I'll update with after shots as time progresses. Just imagine....A/AA. I didn't start with much at all. :)

Today I am 6 weeks post op! I feel completely back...
Today I am 6 weeks post op! I feel completely back to normal. I lost 8 pounds the within the first 3 weeks following surgery. I just didn't have an appetite. I resumed running 3 miles 4-5 times per week when I was 4 weeks post op. I probably could have resumed my workouts a week or 2 earlier, but I didn't want to push my body too soon. I was fitted for bras at Victoria's Secret 2 weeks ago and am wearing 32D. So far, I am very happy with my results. If I had to do it all over again, I would. I am happy with the size, but would have been even happier if I had went a little bigger. I think it's amazing that Dr. Kortesis was able to transform my body so quickly and easily. I have my 4th follow-up appointment with him tomorrow and he has been by my side since surgery answering questions and assuring me that I am healing according to plan. I am so happy that I chose him to do my breast augmentation.

You look great! Dr K is my doctor and has done multiple surgeries on me. My next surgery is a breast augmentation June 24th. Completely excited!!

May 20, 2013
Thank you cacm! You should be excited! As you know, you are in very good hands. Are you getting the 410's?
July 17, 2013
So happy for your results! Im 3 weeks out today and loving mine. I actually ended up with 425/450 due to a difference in size in the breast. Dr K usually uses the size that looks best on your body. I just wanted 400 and he explained why he wanted to go bigger so I did:) Im so thrilled for sure! Awesome Doctor!

cacm.... I am scheduled for TT,BA,Lipo ..Whole Mommy Makeover on the 20th of this month.
I chose 400 cc Gbears same as what you have. I am worried maybe should I go to 425 or 450? Dr. K sooo nice and he advised at first 450... I was scared what they looked like in the bra in office... Let me say I have been only a large A cup my whole life... Then I went to pre-op and decided 400 cc ....
August 7, 2014
You just need to decide what size you really want to achieve. I went in surgery wanting 425 and ended up at 475 cause I wanted a full D. If I had the chose to do it over I might have stayed with 425. I definitely love my new girlies and look forward to the day I can get the rest of myoy makeover. I don't think I can be fully happy until then. Are you going on to or under? Keep me ostef. Would love to know what you chose and how it goes.
August 7, 2014
MalorieCook, I WANTED 400 and ended up with 475! lol Dr K will fit your body to the correct size if you would be ok with that. I have always been a C cup and now I am a DDD. They fit my body nice, he made an excellent decision. Now 10 years from now or when they have to be redone, I will probably go smaller, probably 425. You only being an A cup, the 400's are going to feel HUGE!!!!! But they will balance out your body like you wouldnt believe! Please keep me updated on your progress. If you want some inside tips on recovery, private message me. I've had all of that done myself and will be happy to help you along your journey. You are in AWESOME hands! I will be at their HUGE EVENT on Oct 25th. You should come and meet me. I will be there with my before/after photos since losing 140 #'s and then Dr K removing the excess skin.
