WORTH IT$7,400
I had my procedure done by Dr. Kortesis at the Hunstad Center in Huntersville, which is only a couple of minutes from Charlotte, NC and Concord, NC. I was obsessed with Dr. Kim’s from Beverly Hills you tube videos because of his great work, but once I read some of his patient review on this site and viewed how much they paid I quickly change my mind. So, after searching the internet to find the best breast augmentation plastic surgeons’’ in the Charlotte area, I did to schedule a consultation with Dr. Kortesis since his office was the closet to me and he clearly stood out as one of the best around. I went in and had my consult done in mid January 2015 after attending a meet and greet hosted by Dr. Kortesis and the practice and viewing his work on past patients, I knew I wanted him to perform my BA. Every one of his patient breast looked solo NATURAL. No abnormal looking balloons just sitting up on their chest. I meet one patient who had 400ccs and one who had I believe 600cc or 700cc I can't really remember which one it was, but both looked natural and I would have never thought they had breast implants. It freaked me out because I was use to seeing all the girls on TV with obvious looking breast implants, even the rich celebrities that should be able to afford “the perfect boob job.” I will tell you I was a little shocked at the price, I had been researching and expected to pay no more than $6500, but I will tell you that even though I paid more I’m totally satisfied with doing so.
The night before my surgery I washed my chest area, arms, and underarms with Hibiclens skin cleanser/antiseptic wash as instructed and made sure all of my prescriptions were filled prior to my surgery, so I could take my Zofran sublingual (dissolved under the tongue) the next morning to help reduce my chances of nausea. I also wanted to have my pain medication on deck so I beat it before it even hit me hard enough to complain. I was so nervous about being put under general anesthesia, thinking something bad would happen that would cause me not to wake up because I know I have a low tolerance for any drug like alcohol or painkillers. But for some reason I was completely calm the night before my surgery. I even slept pretty good, which is something that I typically can’t do if I know I have some type of big event happening the next day.
On the day of surgery (4-24-2015) I showed up at 11 for 12pm surgery time and I believe I was out of the surgery center on my way back home before 3. I remember changing my clothes, taking pictures, and speaking with the anesthesiologist telling her that it wouldn’t take much to put me to sleep and asking her to not give me too much because I was still a little nervous about not waking up prior to entering the OR. Once I entered the OR I was instructed to lie down with my arm outward. I remember the anesthesiologist telling me she was about to put the IV in and remembering she did a really good job by getting me on the first stick, because I’m known for being a hard person to stick. Then she told me the she was about to start the medication and that it would burn a little. It tingled for like 5 seconds and then I was OUT! I only remember waking up in post op and the nurse telling me to do shoulder exercises and asking me to hold my arms up, which was a little painful but not difficult at all. I drifted in and out of sleep on my way to the car and on my way home and I live less than 8 minutes away. Once I got home I got in the bed and passed out. I got the best sleep I’ve had in years that day. I woke up only to take medicine and to chat with my husband for a while and then I was out again, even if I tried to fight it I would just fall asleep sitting up. This would go on until my husband would say “Quit fighting it and just go to sleep” and then laugh a little shaking his head.
The next 2 days I took several naps all throughout the day, again it was the best sleep ever! I would try to fight it and of course my husband would always catch me. I did have pretty bad pain in between pain pill scheduling, but it was never anything that was unbearable. It actually was a lot less then what I expected. My boobs were very swollen and sore. I never loss sensation in my nips, but they did remain very sensitive for the first 3 weeks. I did have a very hard time trying to lift myself up from the laying position, back up to into a sitting position for about 3 or 4 days. You don’t realize how much you rely on your chest muscles until you have surgery, but I will say I never had trouble going to the bathroom alone. I did feel pain when I lifted my arms for the first 3 or 4 days, but it went away really quick. I had my surgery done on a Friday and I felt like I could have gone back to work that Tuesday. I was out and about on Monday, shopping and what not. If you have any children I would say any minor pain felt in your breast after the first 3-4 days, resembles the pain you feel when your breast become engorged after giving birth and not breastfeeding.
The surgical bra will get on your nerves at first because your breast are so sensitive and sore, but it will get more comfortable as the swelling goes down. Another bra I found to work similar to the surgical bra is those simply basic cami bras at Wal-Mart and then the Hanes ComfortFlex Fit® Get Cozy Seamless Wire-free Bra that can also be found at Wal-Mart or online. I bought medium and they worked just find for a post-op full C/small D outcome, Coming from my barely 34-A cup and adding 440/470ccs. coming from my barely 34-A cup and adding 440/470ccs.
Now it has been exactly 5 weeks and my boobs are the best I’ve seen. They are perfect in every way, shape, and form….Literally!! Not to big and not too small, very believable! I do wish that I would have gone with 490-Ldid and 520cc-R, only because I secretly wanted Jugs that appear to be natural, but I know that's just “Boob Greed” and I don’t believe that I could have fit that on my narrow chest without changing from moderate plus to high profile..and I don’t want the high profile, round balls look AT ALL!! So all in all if you do choose to have this done and you live in this area, I would highly recommend that you chose Dr. Kortesis, because you will definitely get your money’s worth. No regrets here, everything was done completely right. Very minimal down time, minimum pain, a barely there scar, and Perfect Results. You just can’t beat that!!
