I had visited numerous plastic surgeons in the Charlotte area, but when I met Dr. Kortesis and his team I knew that this was where I would have my surgery. Due to the large amount of weight loss I have had over the past 4 years, I needed more than just a tummy tuck. Dr. Kortesis was the FIRST ps that suggested a body lift. After my consultation, myself, my husband and the doctor agreed on the following procedures to achieve what i was looking for: Body lift, breast lift with augmentation, lipo from my upper abdomen, flanks and full back as well as a purse string glutial lift. It took a month of deep discussion between myself and my husband to decide if this is what we wanted to spend our savings on. Ultimately, we decided to just go for it. I had surgery on 12/9/2015. Day before surgery i weighed in at 168lbs, wore a pant size 11/12 pants and was a 38B bra. (I'm 5'9")
Today, 3/26/16, I weight 151lbs, wear a size 5/6 pants and am a 36D. I now have the hourglass figure that i've always wanted. My body lift scar is so super low and easily covered, even in a bikini.
What Dr Kortesis did for me is nothing short of amazing. His staff has always been extremely helpful. Dr. Kortesis gave us his own personal cell phone number and email address in case of emergencies and we actually had to use it once. My husband had a question regarding post op meds and it was the weekend. He's was happy to answer our questions, even on his days off.
The surgery I opted for was extremely difficult for me, both mentally and physically, but i felt fully supported by Dr Kortesis and his staff. Every day when i look at myself in the mirror, I am thankful I went with Hunstead & Kortesis.

How is your swelling? I'm still holding onto about 12lbs of swelling and I'm nearing 12 weeks post op from my 360LBL. You look incredible!!!

Thank you! :) I'm 15 weeks out and finally have minimal swelling. I still have swelling in the evenings after work but my trick is to keep my compression garmets on. I'm starting to phase them out but I swear these are what reduces my swelling. I ordered compression stockings and a full lower body compression garmet and wore it constantly until about 2 weeks ago. I now only wear them in the evening and at night. I bought spanx for during the day.
I am still avoiding full exercise. Scares me to think about over doing it and swelling back up. Don't stress to bad about it, it will eventually find a way out. Keep hydrated.

You look phenomenal. I just had my thighs done with Dr. Kortesis 2 wks ago. He is a wonderful surgeon.

Thank you!! How is the recovery for the thighs? Now that I'm down to goal weight mine are not so nice.. Same with my arms. I'm going to hold off for a while and see what the gym will do, but I have a feeling I'll be going back in at some point.

The recovery for the thighs is nothing compared to the abdomen. Now, don't get me wrong it is painful. I wouldn't change any of the surgeries for anything. I'm so happy with all my results as well. I can't wait to see the final result with the thighs, they say it can take up to a year for all the swelling to go down completely. Yikes! I'm so glad that your happy with your results.

Boobs!!!
Went to Victoria Secret yesterday to finally be fitted for a bra. The woman there measured me at a 32 DDD. Yes... That's 3 Ds! My jaw dropped. I felt that the band around my back was just a little too tight so I asked for a 34. She said if you go up a size in the band, then you go down a size in the cup. Soooo, ive opted for a 34 DD. Total craziness. 38B to 34DD. I love them!!!!!

You look amazing! Congratulations on such a major weight loss transformation. I have lost close to 100 pounds 3 times in my life. This is my 3rd and final time--I hope! I always looked so bad after the weight loss due to the excess skin, I didn't care. I don't have much money, but I decided what price can you put on self esteem?
