As an out-of-state patient, my experience from beginning to end has been great. Dr. Katz and his ENTIRE staff are amazing.
Manina, the surgery coordinator, is kind and efficient. Ashley, the receptionist, is a sweetheart with a big personality. Heather, the RN, is literally an angel and goes above and beyond to take care of you and make sure you're safe and comfortable. Even the anesthesiologist seemed like a cool guy, and he knocked me out hard, just as I needed to be. Dr. Katz is talented, very knowledgeable, and will give you his recommendations and work with your vision. His online work is beautiful, but they have a portfolio of his rhinoplasties in the office with hundreds of photos over the past 30 years, and they are BEAUTIFUL. Check them out if you're in the office, you'll definitely want to book with him.
I am only 7 days post-op, having just removed my nose piece yesterday. The swelling can be deceiving when the cast first comes off, but it's typical. Over the course of the next few hours, the swelling significantly went down. There is still a lot of swelling, but i can see it taking shape. I know the swelling will vary with its ups and downs for the next year, the worst of it being the first 4 months, but I am excited and glad I did it! I really wanted to make sure I didn't end up with a piggy nose, and I didn't! It only hurt for maybe half an hour because I waited to take my painkillers until I got back to the room. Then, it's just a ton of congestion, at least for me. I didn't even take a single painkiller the next day. Blew my mind. This has been worth every penny and I know my final result will be absolutely beautiful, will update as time passes.

These are not final results, just pictures of the day I had the cast removed at 7 days post-op. I was told the hump will go down and the true shape will show as the inflammation goes down. There’s still significant swelling, but visible great change already.

I think the bump may need little revision

I don't think so just yet! At 7 days post op, it's way too soon to consider a revision, as it will continue to change for a while.

Give it time. It's going to change so much over the months to come.

Yea, I'm not worried about it at this point. I can feel how swollen it is and it's getting there. I've watched YouTube rhinoplasty reviews month by month, the hump being there due to swelling is so common. And then over the months, it does go away. I know the tip can stay swollen for up to a year too

Typically right after the cast is removed you see the best view. The swelling comes after the cast. So the hump may need to be adjusted at some point. I have never seen a hump at cast removal. Interesting

Based on the extensive research I've done, that's not accurate, but I can understand the assumption. Typically, cast removal is more so a preview. A nose will look considerably different at cast removal than it will a year to come. Swelling can still be very prevalent at cast removal. I think it's important to also remember various techniques are performed internally to achieve a result and people swell, bruise, and heal differently. The dorsal hump could be an issue in the future, but definitely too soon to make that call.

Lol thank you. I know it's not perfect yet. But I think it looks great for this stage.
