38 Years Old, 2 Kids, 127 Lbs, Have Wanted This for Years! - Tampa, FL

ORIGINAL POST

I have literally stalked this page for years and...

WORTH IT$7,700
I have literally stalked this page for years and am finally serious enough to actually write a review and get started on this journey...All of you ladies have helped me in so many ways! I am a 38 year old mom to 2 beautiful daughters who are 17 and 13. I am 5'3" 127lbs. I have maintained this weight for about 5 years now, but I feel like I look so much bigger then what I am. I don't know how to explain this feeling properly. But I'll try...I have a friend who is the same height and weight as me, and if we stand side-by-side, I look heavier and frumpier then her. I am so sick of this feeling!

I went for my consult on April 19. The doctor and his staff were friendly and made me feel so comfortable. His office has a 3-D imaging machine that is supposed to give you a peek at what your results "may" look like. I was the first patient they tried this on. Talk about feeling so insecure...nothing like blowing up your problem areas on the big screen. :) I don't have my exact date yet because I have to get some stuff in order but I am hoping to be on the flat side in late August 2015. My procedure will be a full TT w/MR & Lipo.

I live in Florida, and because of boating, pretty much live in a bathing suit from May-September. I do wear a bikini, because I've always felt that one pieces highlight my tummy, instead of downplay it. My tummy has ALWAYS been my problem area. I think I have had my pooch since I was able 13-14. Most of it is heredity (most of the women in my family carry their weight in their tummys), but another part of it is due to my pregnancies. I started my 1st pregnancy at 135lbs, and thanks to preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, I topped the scales at 200 lbs at only 7 months pregnant. I would love to say that was baby weight, but because she only weighed 1 lb 7 ozs, that's not possible. It took me years to lose the weight, and I started my 2 second pregnancy at 138. I only gained about 25 lbs with her.

I am READY to do this. 2015 will be my year!

Yup! You are going to look awesome, darling! I was a lot like you, where I could suck my tummy in and nobody knew I had such a jelly belly, lol! The fact that you can suck it in like that means you have a strong core already. I am six weeks post op and going through major swelling. Which is normal, and happens to everyone! So be prepared. BUT!!! I would do this surgery all over again tomorrow in a heartbeat! Because this swelling is only temporary. A year from now, you and I are going to look amazing!

You are not going to regret it! Stay positive. I feel so much more confident now in and out of clothes! I am not a small girl by any means but I am strong and proportioned. I would like to lose another 10 pounds or so but I seem to just hang around the 165-170 pound mark at 5-6". You are going to look and feel amazing!

Went to get my pre-op blood work today

I am going to wait for the results of the blood work before I schedule my TT. My mom is a carrier of a pretty scary blood clotting disorder called Factor V and it's hereditary, so I wanted to be certain that I do not have it before I schedule any major surgery. Patiently waiting until Wednesday for my blood work results... As long as everything comes back ok, I will be scheduling my TT for late August.

In the meantime, I've taken some additional before pics. (very hard to post these for all to see. I've spent so much time trying to hide it) I've been as low as 117 lbs in the past year, and my tummy looks the same. Got too comfortable, and busy and gained some back. (117 is not a realistic weight for me.) Even at my lowest weight, my tummy was still an issue. I still had the pouch and upper ab problem spot, they were just smaller. I am happy with my weight current weight, just Ready to look and feel better about myself.

Whoa...good idea to be extra careful on that one. Hope your results are clear :)

I know what you mean. I'm approximately the same height/weight as you. Ever since having the kids I've felt like I ought to be losing weight, when actually losing weight never really helps as it's the actual shape of my tummy that's the issue. So glad to hear your blood work came back ok and you have a date!
