Victoria's Secret Size Was All Wrong!
So, yesterday we went out for a little day of shopping, as we typically do on the weekends. I decided to try on some bras somewhere other than Victoria's Secret. I haven't done that in over 12 years! I currently wear a 32c sometimes 32d in the Body by Victoria Perfect Shape bras. Which are definitely padded and push up my breast tissue from the lower pole to the upper pole.
Anyway, I was shocked to find that in reality I just filled out the 32b bras I tried on in Kohls! This was the size my PS said I probably really was when I told him what I wore in VS bras. His giggle and snuff at the VS size encouraged my decision to try some bras elsewhere before my surgery.
I'm so excited I did this. Now I can really put into perspective the 2cup increase my suregeon told me that I would achieve from the 371cc mod plus and the "just about" 2cup increase from the 339cc mod plus options.
Hearing "2 cup increase" when you wear a 32d from Victoria's Secret is not the same as hearing a "2 cup increase" when you wear a 32b in reality! Especially when my number one concern is being too big for my 5'0", small framed body.
I took some pictures in the 32b bras. To my surprise, I filled out some nicely, and others not so much!
Moral of the story.. Victoria's secret is she lies to you about your bra size! Hehe :)

339cc vs. 371cc Natrelle Style 15 (mod plus)
So... I am going crazy trying to decide between these two sizes. Silly, right!? I mean the difference in projection is .1cm and the difference in diameter is only .5cm. Hardly anything!
My biggest fear is that I look "too augmented" after. My second biggest fear is that I don't fill the upper pole enough. My husband thinks that neither option will give a "too augmented" look, that it isn't a possibility with either size. I can't help but worry. I have quite a bit of existing breast tissue-approximately 210cc to 220cc in each breast. I wonder if the more existing breast tissue you have makes the implant appear bigger or smaller once it is in!? Anyone have any information on that? I'm pretty petite at 5' and currently weighing 108lbs. I'm planning to go try on some bras somewhere other than Victoria's Secret to see what size I actually wear right now. The PS giggled when I told him I wear a 32C sometimes D at Victoria's Secret and he said I am more of a B cup realistically. The 371cc will give me a definite 2 cup increase and the 339cc will just about give me a 2 cup increase, so I think trying on different bras will help!
I've emailed the coordinator I spoke with at my consultation with some questions that may help me decide. I may throw my hands in the air and just let the PS decide which is best for my desired outcome based on wish boobs pictures. It is just so hard to give up that control!

First (and last) Consultation Done!
Wow! I'm excited to report that I have nothing but good news! First, I really liked my plastic surgeon. He was very soft spoken, and kind. He really made me feel like it was all about what I wanted for my breasts and what would make me happy. I won't lie, he was in and out quicker than I had expected, but he talked with me thoroughly, answered all of my questions, understood all of my wants, measured me, and we discussed pictures of patients with similar profiles and outcomes that I am hoping for. We also reviewed the 3d images via the Vectra machine. There were no sizers, but my husband and I were able to handle some implant samples just for feel and projection (high profile vs mod+) comparison. Also, the coordinator that I worked with was very kind, straightforward, and knowledgeable.
Here's the best news....no lift! He said he absolutely did not recommend it. He told me that if months after my breast augmentation I (for some reason, as he didn't have any concerns) was unhappy with where my nipple was in relation to the fullness of my breasts, I could come back for a very quick, under local anesthesia, crescent lift of the nipple. I don't see this being an issue as I'm ok with where my nipple are currently, anyway. I'm in my 30s and not my 20s so I don't desire super perky breasts. Just fuller, rounder breasts.
We narrowed it down to 339cc and 371cc, midrange/moderate plus. I have to decide between the two sizes. This is the tough part. I would rather have my breasts wider than project out further from my chest..hence moderate plus as opposed to the high profile. I also *think* I'd rather be a tad too small than a tad too big. I feel like I could still push them up with a good bra if I needed. At this point, anything will be better than their current state and I don't want everyone to know that I got my boobs done anyway. I'd be honest if they asked, I just don't want an obvious result. So what should I go with 339cc or 371cc!? I know the difference is ever so slight, but it still has me wracking my brain.
He measured me as 21" from notch to left nipple. 20.5" from notch to right nipple. And 22" from nipple to nipple. Not a perfect triangle, but pretty close. I also have a pretty wide breast width (I think anyway) which was just under 14cm on each side. This has me thinking the larger implant may be better...but I don't know!
My pre-op is February 21st and the big day is March 8th!!!! I cannot believe it! Perfect timing. I'll have 3 days plus a weekend and an entire work week (Spring Break) and another weekend to recover before having to return to work. My coordinator was pretty sure I'd be feeling good by day 3. So hopefully I'll be able to enjoy some of the break with my new additions!
Until then I'll keep stalking RealSelf and updating here.
