I went to Grand Canyon Dermatology for about four...

I went to Grand Canyon Dermatology for about four years starting from the age of 12 (2010) until I was 15-16 (2014). I had severe cystic acne on my cheeks, jawline and around my mouth as well as my forehead but not as bad there. I only met doctor Donsky once which was after having gone there for about a year already when the P.A., Mitch Bogle, wanted to get insurance authorization for cortisone injections. The whole time I went to this place I received clindamycin gel and tretinoin. It kept my acne under control for about a year but I still had to wear makeup. Finally I became immune to that at which point my acne slowly came back. I stopped going to school became isolated and depressed didn't want to go anywhere and my mom even cried to Dr. Bogle, telling him how much it was interfering with my life and told him there had to be more we could do and he said, and I quote, "some people just have acne and there's nothing we can really do but try and maintain it as best we can and wait it out" but it wasn't even being maintained one bit it was full blown cysts nodules papules pustules whiteheads, I had at least 50-100 pimples at any given time. The only other thing Dr bogle prescribed me was 50mg doxycycline per day for only three months and he refused to do it any longer saying the whites of my eyes might turn blue. At one point my mom brought my little sister in for some MUCH more minor acne on her forehead and he gave her the EXACT same prescriptions as me! No tailored method at all! She had very very minor acne. Barely even worth going to a dermatologist for! I dealt with my severe cystic acne for two more years. It was horrific. Then my grandma finally told my mom she needs to get a second opinion and that's when we found West dermatology. Dr. Fulkerson immediately put me into the ipledge program to go on accutane and during the month I had to wait he gave me 150 mg of doxycycline, triple the strength Dr donsky ever gave me and he also gave me prednisone for the inflammation. My acne was finally being treated aggressively, the way it always should've been treated. The whole time I put my trust in Grand Canyon Dermatology, thinking they are specialists they know what to do if they say there's nothing else we can do there's nothing else we can do, but the whole time that was a lie. The Accutane cured my acne, but needless to say I am permanently and horribly scarred. All over my cheeks, jawline, chin, forhead, everywhere, but mainly my cheeks with rolling scars, boxcar scars and large pores, it's not just a lot of acne scars, it's ALL acne scars there is no normal skin in between It's all scar tissue my complexion is ruined. the only places untouched by scarring are my temples and eye sockets. It's heart breaking. I can't even go through the drive thru without putting on makeup. And I'm not just being dramatic, I have disfiguring, severe scars all because of one doctors dishonesty and greed. Upon doing our research my mom and I learned that Dr. Donsky used to use accutane but they no longer do. So they obviously knew of its effects. They probably gave people accutane and they they never came back once their acne cleared and thats why they don't use it. Wouldn't surprise me. At any time they could've been honest and said we don't use accutane anymore but this is what she really needs and even though they would've lost a couple bucks by sending me off to another derm they would've made a hell of a lot more on the six other kids my mom would have taken back to Grand Canyon Dermatology but unfortunately they have lost our business and now Dr. Fulkerson is receiving the business of our nine person family. Do not ruin your life at this place. They don't care about you. My life will never be the same because of doctor donsky's selfishness.
