Looking at the clothed pictures, I'm still very glad I did it. I couldn't even get in those shorts pre op. The pics with no clothes...I hate to look at.

Yes, well worth all the pain when you can put jeans on and not have loose skin bulging out :)

Stomach still very tender and numb. I still have swelling which increases with salt intake and excercise. But swelling is nothing like it was a few months ago. Still have intermittent pain at suture site. The left side of my scar healed well. The middle and right side look horrendous. The PA said I may have slept on the right side more but I slept on my back in the recliner for 6 months and I'm a back sleeper in general. I walked hunched over for almost 2 months due to the suture tension. I was able to stand completely straight at just past 2 months.

how are you feeling ? Did the rash clear up from the tape?
May 24, 2015
It cleared up after about 10 days. The skin where rash was is still did colored but no blisters, bumps, or itching. But now I'm afraid to put anything on it for scar treatment:(

Honestly I started with a scar gel but as time goes on the scar is gonna lighten so I'm just gonna use lotions from now on instead of spending any more money on scar creams, tapes or gels :)

oh my goodness you look great. I was lying here reading your post and looking at your before and after pics. You are looking great. I'm glad you posted about the different kind of infections and diseases you can get in the hospital. I'm in the medical field myself and if people know more about the hospital setting then there will be less of those infections and disease going around. I love your post. I don't understand why the consultations wasn't free. I only visited one doctor because I told my husband I was afraid and tired of doing all this research. I was working full time, going to school full time and also being a wife. I had and have a busy life. So I prayed and asked God to guide me to the right one. My husband and I was getting out the truck, I was nervous as hell, excuse my French, but I was trembling. Anyway as we was getting out an lady was walking to her car and she said if we're considering surgery that we pick the right one and he was the best at what he does and I will see once I get in there. And sure nough I felt comfortable and safe with him. When I saw your pics I saw myself. It's always good to see someone else like yourself so that way you can at least imagine how your outcome will be. I am glad to see your doing well. Happy Healing and God Bless.
