11 WEEKS Still Swelling

Hi everyone! Summer vacation is officially over for us. School starts on Monday and I'm grateful that I had the summer to recuperate and heal up to be school ready and available for my sons return to school. Yesterday was a day filled with registration and getting lockers prepped, etc. We walked up and down the school and their beautiful grand stairways. Well today I am so super swollen. I look like I'm about 5 wks po! I'm not surprised, given the amount of busy time I've had with shopping, and getting supplies for them. I try and rest in between errands but sometimes, as you all know, that's impossible with two kids, a husband and a dog, lol. I'm having tiny flashes of pain on each side of my upper abs. My midline section and belly button are STILL numb, thankfully. Anyone else still having issues with all the above? My swelling is concentrated on the upper abs and the incision around the mons area is kind of irritated looking but I don't know if it's from the heat or wearing tighter pants. So today loose clothing and taking it kind of slow are in order. I'm drinking plenty of fluids. I start Yoga Monday and went to renew my membership yesterday. It felt so soothing to be there just for a moment, and surround myself with all that healing energy. My instructor was happy to see me.
My shopping spree last Friday was a success. I found the cutest faux leather leggings that I cannot wait to wear this fall. How has the summer been for any of you June and July Tummy Tuckers? I don't swell everyday, but usually at least twice a week, depending on what I do. Do those of you that work out let that bother you in terms of laying off work outs for a few days or do you just go ahead, since you know you'll probably swell anyway? Feedback is appreciated ladies! As always, sending healing energy and light to all of you :)

9 WEEKS

Hey everyone! I miss posting but read your updates. Life has continued to get busy, as it does. Back to school right around the corner. Been feeling great. Got back into my work out routine a week and a half ago. I immediately noticed severe swelling in the upper mons area near the front of my scar and a small abcess formed. I've been putting Neosporin on it and it has healed on its own, thank goodness. Last saw Dr. Basu on Aug. 29th and he gave me the green light to go ahead on my exercise and to start slowly. I absolutely love the sculpting he did on my abdomen through the TT! My scar is still hard for me to look at, but it's still better than the skin and fatty stomach pouch I had before. Just taking it one day at a time. I only wear my binder now when I start working out, for support. I wear it over a shirt because it can get quite hot. How is everyone doing??
I took these pics about 20 min ago, after my workout. I love the headstart the surgery gave me, regarding the shaping and contouring of my stomach. Dr. Basu is a miracle worker! I'll see doc on Sept. 9th. Scar therapy is slow but progressing. They gave me an option for an injection of some solution to break down some of the thicker scarring around my belly button last time I was there. I bought it and can see a difference already. Even used some around an old gall stone scar and it's fading, lol. It has been quite a summer, but filled with healing and bringing my spouse and family closer to work together while I healed is the most amazing thing. I am going for my first shopping spree this Friday, for smaller pants and shirts. I pray all of you are doing well :)

5.3 Weeks

Seems like not that long ago I was planning for this TT. Check up last Thursday and all looks good except for that little pocket of swelling around my mons area. No excercising yet....kind of bummed but she said it would make me swell more. Swelling comes on at night and depends on how active I was. Binder is still comfy for me but I love my Leonisa binder/cg I got last week.
Love my shape, swelling and all. Mostly just try not to stress. Bb scab fell off and is healing. Scar care started and I'm trying Kel..something gel and silicone strips on my incision. Still feel sore on upper abs sometimes. They said that was normal. Hopefully they'll clear me to start working out in 3 wks. Draining seems to have stopped, which is probably why I swell but they want to make sure everything is healed. I cannot use silicone strips above mons, where incision drains a little. Otherwise, I have a sinus migraine today but cannot complain. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. How are all of you?

I consulted with Dr. Basu after reading how highly recommended he is. Elizabeth and the staff have been great so far. He was warm, very informative and gave me his honest opinion about another procedure I thought I should have. I appreciate that. Lots of doctors try to cross sell you things you don't need. Not the case here.
