As part of the Realfriends program, I received, free of charge, 2 tubes of Biocorneum scar treatment gel. I was asked to try the gel for 90 days to see what effect it would have on my scar. I was not paid for this review.
I will be applying the gel 2x daily for 90 days to my 19 month old abdominoplasty scar. Biocorneum is an FDA cleared medical grade cross-linked silicone gel -"Silishield Technology" - that can reduce the appearance of surgical scars, namely redness and discoloration. It can also help to soften and flatten the scar's appearance. It will be interesting to see what thos product can do for an older scar. These photos are prior to the beginning of this scar therapy.

The RS staff handpicks people based on quantity and quality of their responses.

Biocorneum Review : 6 week update

txmom808
I am halfway through the 90 day trial period. I have been applying the biocorneum scar gel to my tummy tuck scar morning and evening. I have concentrated on the darker areas where the stretch marks are. I do think there bas been some visible lightening of the pigment, as well ad it feeling somewhat softer and flatter over the darker areas where it looks like "paint drips".
I have 6 more weeks to go. So far, I do think this product is effective.

Looks like great progress! How does one get a free trial of bicorneum? I’m 3 weeks post op TT and BA.

Hi Skyylark,
The Real Friends is a program through Real Self, whereby the staff hand pick people according to their set criteria. They sent me the biocorneum as part of the program.
If you wanted to try it, you might ask your ps if they have any samples. Sometimes the doctors will get free samples to give their patients.

Good Luck

Wow, I think your scar looks great! I think it looked pretty good to start with but I think you are right, I see a small improvement too. I'm going the skin medica with KT route as per my PS but if I'm not happy with the results after 8 weeks maybe I'll switch to this.

Wonderful results! I’m curious how your scars look now? They are probably invisible!
