I did my homework and researched and i still do to this day faithfully until i found the right Dr for me. He is double board certified and has plenty of awards. I think he is amazing and i feel safe with my life in his hands.I went to 4 consultations and Dr.Paul Gill was my last, he is everything I was looking for , exparel, overnight stay, and price. Plus he was nice, he didn't rush me , he was honest and didn't try to sell me procedures I didn't need. Melissa is outstanding, she explained everything with the finance part. She also went out her way to make sure I was able to get the date I was looking for. Paid my deposit so I will be on my way thru my JOURNEY..My kids tell me I don't need it but this is something I have always wanted and I'm finally able to get it done with the help of husband. My pre op will be in November and I also have to register with the hospital at that time . My fear is that the tightness is going to affect my acid reflux and i wont be able to eat. I will have to be off 4 weeks because of the work i do thats the only thing that sucks but thats why i have FMLA and STD.Will be returning soon.......

Thanks nwerrwife, you look so good and I love the way your scar looks, with time it will so much better..seems like you had a great post op , I hope I have the same experience. I assume you received exparel that helped with the pain. I worry about having a problem eating because I have slight acid reflux and I'm thinking the tightness will irritate it , with your experience can you explain to me any issues with eating ?????. That's my only worry . Oh and how long did you have to wait to have Sex again???

I have been thinking of getting a consult with Dr. Gill. I want/need a TT. It sounds like so far you've had a very positive experience. I will be anxious to hear all about it after your surgery. Can I ask what procedure are you having done?

Hi Laura0310, I'm having a TT with tightening of the abdominal muscles with lipo of the upper abdominal and flanks. Dr.Gill was great at my consult. He made me feel relaxed .I'm scared but excited at the same time.I went to 4 different consultations and found a few cheaper but wasn't what I was looking for. A couple charged extra for lipo of different areas . But with me I was looking to stay overnight, having procedure in a hospital, exparel and the price wasn't too shabby either. My TT came with lipo of the flanks and upper abdominals but if I wanted lipo on my back that would be extra. So I thought that was awesome ..One PS was 5800 but no lipo no overnight stay and he wasn't board certified. The other was everything I was looking for but when I went to the consult I felt rushed and really didn't have time to answer any questions..the next was a wonderful consult but performed surgery in his office with no exparel or overnight stay and the price was $7000 ( on researching prices are cheaper if a PS has his own Surgery suite in his office )....and the other told me all I need was lipo of the abdominal for 2500.. But give Dr.Gill a try and you won't be disappointed. Plus he's double board certified and does good work .I can't wait to share my story.

You are having everything done that I need done. I can't wait to hear how it turns out. I can't do mine until summer, when school gets out. So I have lots of time to research. I am so excited for you! Keep me posted.

Dee1970, I am 51 today, 16 days post op of a full tummy tuck and replacement of my breast implants, plus upper tummy lipo. I had no appetite for a week after surgery, I was never nauseated, but I did force myself to eat, I had soup and applesauce a lot. about the time I went off pain meds my appetite increased. I feel like I had my stomach stapled, I can only eat 1/2 the portions I did before. also I never had acid reflex.heart burn, gas etc... problems before the surgery, I did have a little problem 2 days ago after eating out/Mexican food for the first time, I felt like I was in labor with a baby crocodile with teeth, I took gas-x, it helped, then at bedtime I took a zantax, and I passed gas all night long, since then I take one zantac when I get up in the morning, and I am fine all day, less bloating, less discomfort, a great preventative. P.S. when I was on my antibiotics it said not to take any anti acids. please check with your doctor before using anything. but I do understand that acid reflex can be a side effect of a tummy tuck, especially if it's a full one, muscles, skin, everything is pulled tight, leaving less room. I also find eating smaller portions, low sodium, healthy foods, avoiding fried foods, and foods that trigger gases help. I hope this helps you.

there are several lists of things to buy under the FAQ section. I'm new to Real Self so I can't remember how to navigate to it. Maybe it's called "forum" ??

By the least possible, I didn't purchase or rent anything and it really help in quickly getting back to normality. I recommend gauze, paper tape, extra pillows, and neosporin.
