I know it's been a while but the last couple of weeks I had the flu so everybody been asking for updates I only have 1 pic for now but I'll add more once I get better besides having the flu I was doing good I had went back to work No problems only probably I was swelling and that's not going away No time soon so I learn to Deal with it in the morning im ok but by the end of the day im in swell hell I I'm really glad I made the decision to have the sx the Dr told me he removed 9 1/2 pounds of skin and fat he said it was mostly hanging skin so I think the whole process was worth it I hope everyone else is healing fine and good luck to everyone thats preparing for the sx

Standing Straight
well today i had my 3 week appointment it didn't take to long they took off all the tape of my scar but it wasn't much most of it came off already i was using mederma but i purchased the scar recovery gel from dr gill so i will see how it works and i also scheduled my breast reduction for july 10 2015 so im all set my next appointment is in 3 weeks and than i can go back to working out again so that's it for now

Are you still having to wear the binder 24/7? I go Monday for my 2 week apt with him and I'm hoping to get my drains out. My tape is starting to peel on each corner of my incision and it's itching so bad! I cut off the half inch that had rolled away from my skin (from binder rubbing it off) so it feels a tad better but it's still so itchy :/
yes i still have to weat binder until the end of January but she said i could wear some spanks and put binder on top of spanks but she said dont throw away the binder cause when i start back working out i can use it for the swelling my tap came off long time ago only tape i had left on my incision was on both of my hips whatever part of your incision doesn't have tape you need to put something on it i use mederma but 2day i got cream from dr so im using that now
for the inching i was benadryl cause my incision and my back stomach stomach started inching real bad
Do I need to put a scar treatment on it or will bio oil work?
dr gill told me to use the mederma twice a day im not sure about the bio oil
Oh and when were you able to stand up straight? I'm 10 days post TT and I can't yet. I'm not pushing it, just curious when you were able to since we have the same dr
probably at 21/2 weeks. maybe 80%straight up and today i feel like 95% straight up
Hi Sky, did you ask your PS about the headaches? Are you drinking enough as it sounds like dehydration? I am so pleased with your relatively smooth recovery and for less than 1mth you are doing so well. Try to think where you will be in another month (look forward to it) and keep taking photos. Happy for your future appointment for your Part2 surgery, look forward to it. Follow Sophia72 for her recent similar surgery.
yes i did imath they believe its dehydration so im drinking more water now and the headache have went away for now so now im feeling a whole lot better other than the headaches ive had a smooth recovery just feel tightness in the belly and thanks for showing concern
How are you liking the scar recovery gel? I'm glad you're standing straight. I'm 4 weeks post and I still can't stand straight. :( when I tried I got 2 tiny tears in my incision so I stopped trying.
the scar recovery gel work real good i had about 4 medium size tears in my incision but that scar gel closed them up quickly and i 6 weeks post op and i still fell tightness around the incision but now im moving around a whole lot better standing straight up and feeling some what l like myself again when im not in swell hell
How much was the gel and what's the brand name? I may get that next time I'm there.
its scar recovery gel but on the tube its says skin something but its was 105 with tax
I think I'm going to buy the BioCorneum from Dr Gill. I called and for 20 grams it's $50. I looked on Amazon and they sell the same thing for $100! So I'll be making another trip to The Woodlands this week. :/

I haven't had too many problems
Well tomorrow I'll be three weeks post op and I'm doing fine my head is hurting like crazy go to bed with a headache wake up with a headache and have small headache throughout the day my tape has Come off half of my scar and I using the mederma scar gel still in the recliner when I lay on my sides in the bed it hurt where I'm swollen from liposuction and my stomach is swollen like crazy but other than that I'm fine I'm actually planning for my breast reduction in July 2015

Swelling is to be expected. Try to drinks LOTS of water - a gallon per day at least. It will help flush out the fluid through your urine. You need to let your Dr. know you're having a continuing headache. If you're not drinking enough fluid, it could be signs of dehydration. On the other hand, that is also a sign of high blood pressure and even signs of a stroke. I don't want to freak you out, but I would definitely let your Dr. know and see what he thinks.
