WORTH IT
Over the years I have gained and lost a lot of weight my highest was 250.Currently at 120 now I work out 5 x a week and still the inner thigh sag is there. I truly thought with healthy diet and exercise it would go away... everything else went back into place.....why not the inner thighs....So I got a trainer for a year still no luck so here I am ready to move on to the next step. I contacted several doctors who quoted many anywhere from 3-15,000.So in two days I am going in for a medial thigh lift. I'm really nervous about recovery!! I decided to go with Dr. Wilberto Cortes in Houston, Texas. He seemed to have good reviews and office staff were very nice. I have my pre-op apt tomorrow wed 3/9/2016 at Dr. Wilberto's office then I go to Houston North West hospital for labs and pre-op there to make sure I'm good for surgery. Well here we go lets see how this goes........................

no one ever told me I wouldn't be able to sit on a toilet and how bad my [RS bleep] would feel my vaginal area is swollen so bad..
March 16, 2016
That's concerning. I never had any issues in either areas as you describe. I hope you're doing better. I'm 6 weeks post-op from my medial lift today.
For those of us that have been through it we tend to worry about one another so please keep us posted:-)

Hun you definitely need a toilet seat riser and plan on using it for at least a month.

I had my surgery 3/9 and have been using a Freshette to urinate. It's basically a lady urinal, you stand over toilet, no need to sit and keeps compression garment clean and dry. I feel like every position pulls something in just the wrong way and cannot get comfy.

I was wondering how you were doing! I hope the new antibiotic clears things up for you. How are you feeling and what are you using the clean yourself after bathroom time?
March 24, 2016
I'm so glad you updated....I had mine just before you (along w/ TT)....recovery has been horrendous. I thought I'd prepared for it but....no....it's ROUGH!!!!! I too had T-incision w/ vertical cuts slightly longer than yours. I also had to get another round of antibiotics last Fri. My legs swelled with fire...I swear....so painful. Now it's the shooting jolts of electric shocks here and there and back over here and swelling. Mine are still quite swollen and hard. I hope every day is better for you!
March 24, 2016
Mine are the same way ugh.. I got another round of antibiotics to he gave me to kinds I am feeling the fire too! I bet yours feels worse because you got the tummy and more down the legs. So far do you feel its worth it? I hope you feel better sweetie I know its rough!
March 24, 2016
TY! I woke today and for the first time didn't almost pass out taking that first step out of bed...yay, Progress! My husband has been asking me that same question (he never said if he did/didn't want me to do any of this btw, it was always, "this is completely up to you....you want it, you do it"). So far it's been hard to answer bc it has been excruciating and I don't feel like I 'see' myself yet. I still haven't caught on that a 7# flap of skin was removed from my belly. My husband keeps reassuring me that it WILL be worth it (bc he's of the mindset that a positive mind lends to positive healing.....so very Buddhist of him). Keep us updated!

I'm doing okay thanks for checking in..I hope these antibiotics clear everything too going to Disney at end of april and I have to be ready to walk. I usually wash my self in the shower to keep my cuts clean because I don't want anything getting bad you have any ideas that can help?

I went to Disneyland about 6 weeks post thigh lift and was super nervous but I made it. I think the key is rest. Rest. Rest and rest some more. Even when you feel like you can do something just lay down. It's going to be hard and emotional and you'll probably cry at times, but if you take the month you'll be so happy. The first 6 weeks went so slow and felt like it was never going to get better. At 6-7 weeks it was like a whole new world opened up and I was finally better!
Keeping your incisions clean and dry is right up there with resting. My Dr. had me use 3 water to 1 peroxide and I mixed it in a spray bottle. He told me I could stop after a week or so but kept using it for a month.
Every time I went to the bathroom (I was OCD about keeping the area clean) I sprayed the heck out of my lady business and incisions with the solution.
Used a NEW towel to gently blot dry every time.
Next wiped the toilet seat with a Clorox wipe or some antibacterial cleaner.
Went to counter rested arms on there and bent over to let things air dry for a few minutes.
Used the blow dryer on cool and low setting (we're still numb so can easily burn ourselves if not careful)
Then put my garment back on and yes I took that damn thing off every time.
This was the process I dreaded most every time I had to go the bathroom it took at least 20 min and so exhausting.
I also washed with dial soap in the shower after every BM and then did all of the above- super important too and used a new towel every shower.
Feel free to message me and we can chat more. I'm happy to help with suggestions or just moral support!
You're going to get better and be so happy you did this in a couple months!

Like you i have lost a load weight and exercise left me with baggy skin which exercise wouldnt tighten up. I had a 360 tt last sept and am going in for arm and thigh lift on 12th april.
The loose skin, i find awful and, like you, cant wait to get rid of it.
Once again good luck and god bless.
Jean
My 360 went great. the op was approx 6 hours as they were doing my eye bags & lids too. I had 6 drains but they were all out within 3 days as there was very little coming out. I didnt have a lot of pain but i was numb all round, that feeling lasted several weeks. The feeling i have oow is like wearing a belt around my hips. I was out of bed the next day walking just a bit.had no probs with anesthetic but was sleepy for about 24 hours.
When i got home didnt do much, i livdd on my own and like you had preped lots of meals in freezer. Didnt go out of home for a week, did short walks round house. If i pushed it i knew about it & had to lie down. You have to take thing easy for a few weeks and no strenuous exercise for 6 - 8 weeks. Ps took 6 1/2 lbs of loose skin and fat away. Recovery takes a while as internal healing can take up to 12 months but it is so worth it.
Good luck and god bless with your op. Look forward to hearing how you doing
