So sorry about your experience. I hope things are better.I too have a botched nose job and was considering dr Kridel for a revision. This is so scary do I live with a bad nose because it could turn worse with another surgery.
So sorry for what happend to you. im also on a search for a surgeon for my third revision. who were your previous surgeons so I will now to avoid them? Best of luck!
First, I want to say I'm very sorry for the position your in. I wish I could say or do something to make it all better but I can't.
I want to thank you for honestly posting your experience and unfortunate outcome. I've been considering having revision with Dr. Kridel for months, but your review has made me second guess that idea. My primary surgeon completely dishonest from the day I walked into her door on a referral. I wouldn't doubt someone else performed your surgery, because that is what happened to me with a different surgeon and practice. Well, only for one part of the surgery, my septoplasty. Subsequently, I'm in a dire predicament after the surgery, because I have a septal perforation, saddle nose deformity, valve and vault collapse, a graft the is jutting through my flesh, moderate nostril assymetry, leaning tip, a shorter nose and so many medical issues it's sometimes very overwhelming. I do not want to go to another surgeon that is or low moral fiber and your review makes me believe that this might be the case with Kridel.
I hope you have found your peace either through revision or the power of your own mind. I'm sending love your way.
How is your breathing and crease under your lip? Any improvement?
Thank you for sharing; I can't believe this happened to you. Dr. Kridel is known to be very good, so it's shocking to me that this is your outcome. $25,000 is a ridiculous cost. In fact, I consulted with him for my first nose job, and he wanted to charge me $20,000. I went with another surgeon who did an OK Job for half the price. I was considering getting my revision through him, but I'm really glad I'm not now.
Why do you say Dr. Kridel is "known to be very good"? Everyone I've talked to who went to him has been disappointed and has come out much poorer and worse looking. He's great at marketing himself though. There are a lot of glowing, 5-star reviews of him that are often written in a very close period of time and often use the same words, like "Best Surgeon", "Best of the Best", "Simply the Best." They seem suspicious to me. And he gets actively involved in medical groups that seem prestigious to the public, but if you dig deeper, they do a lot of lobbying to protect doctors from unhappy patients (I know personally that Dr. Kridel has A LOT of unhappy patients, so it makes sense he wants to protect himself from them).
I am in the Houston area and had a septo-rhinoplasty done with another surgeon here (Dr. Funk), but I have also heard good things about Kridel. One of my co-workers attends the same synagogue as Funk and she had an issue with a perforated septum a few years back. It was apparently very severe in terms of the non-cosmetic issues so Funk referred her to Kridel as a senior expert. She sings his praises all the time. Granted, she insists her procedure was done ONLY for functional/medical purposes and that she did not request any cosmetic work.
Some surgeons can get good reputations without having a lot of happy clients. Look at Dr. Christopher Duntsch in Dallas, who is now in prison for murdering his patients. Lots of other dr.'s referred their patients to him because he had a good PR agent who promoted him well to the public and also to other dr.'s. Dr. Duntsch was even listed as a top doc in Dallas. But he botched most of his patients, sometimes killing them. He's now the subject of a podcast called Dr. Death. A lot of people I know who were botched by Dr. Frankel in Bev Hills said they were referred to him by their primary dr.'s, but then they say they got botched. It just makes it very hard to know who to trust. I trust patient reviews only, and only if I can talk to the patients and see their before and after pics.
Hi there, I was considering him for revision. You said you personally know people that were unhappy?

Revison Review Worst Nose Job Ever

I went to Dr Kridel with hopes of breathing cures and my nose was crooked after 2 surgeries. He swore to me he could fix it. They could only give me 1 referral after 20+ years in service. Now i can hardly breathe through my nose, they quit making appts for me after the 1 year mark! My nose is now off center, i have 3 other unhappy patients and can not believe i was gulliable enough to believe he could help me! He needs to retire!

Family reviews

So my sister came to see me yesterday, she lives in oklahoma and we do not get to see each other that much but talk everyday and she will tell me the truth because she knows how my life has been turned upside down the last 4 years. She looked at me last night and said" neicy, you do not look like you should- it looks like it does not fit you" i cried but i also love that she told me that. But i knew it and my family was to scared to tell me. So once again i picked a physician that did not listen to my needs but wanted his fellow to learn something!!! Well, that is not worth $25,000 to me!!!! It is not even worth $5000. The doctor i used was Dr Kridel. The staff is sweet and he is nice but not enough to convince me that he did what i wanted! I had a piece of cartliage fall out on my upper lip and they had to remove it and he could not tell me where it came from!!!!! Really! He did dermbrasion on my scar --/- guess what ????still there!!!i can not find the energy to even drive 4 hours for a check up!! Talk to people who has used him. I asked for reference and got 1 name and number out of 30 years!!!! I should have known then but i thought money talks boy was i wrong! Will post picture tomorrow
