There was an additional charge for "Nasal Reconstruction" of some sort for $9600.

I can definitely breath better.

They need to be accountable to some extent.
For now I hope I can serve as example for people to beware of this doctor.

Dr Funk dies not care. All they care about is the money.. A true good doctor would of contacted me and found some kind of resolution..

Thank you for your comment and I appreciate you sharing your experience. I just want people to know and understand the injustice that this doctor is doing to people. I thought that I was seeing a great surgeon that would stand behind his work but that is not the case. I hope my experience will inform people to chose wisely when it comes to a surgery that they will have to look at every morning for the rest of their lives. Thank you.

Yes. I asked if anything could be done and I was told No. I'm basically have to live like this unless I want to pay cash for another surgery. Thank you for your comment.

my heart breaks every time i look in the mirror and have no confidence anymore. I want people to know that there is a huge risk getting this surgery done. Revision rates are much higher than 10% thats for sure.

Was this a revision rhinoplasty or primary? I was considering him for revision now uncertain. Why was your surgery so expensive? Thank you for sharing.

This was a primary. Not sure why it was so expensive. The bill he submitted to my insurance shows a reconstruction of nose canal. I can breath better but not happy with end results.

Hi, Ruben. I had a consultation with Dr. Funk a few weeks ago and he had an office worker sit with me to review the costs, insurance, and financing. Did they not do this with you before you scheduled your surgery? You seem to have been completely blindsided by the cost.

Jersey_girl50, did you decide to not go for the surgery with him? Was he nice during the consultation? did he do imaging?

I actually liked him very much, he gave me a good exam of my nose and did the imaging himself which I liked. My husband couldn't tell the difference which was good in the imagining as I wanted subtle changes, I haven't decided yet, I also went to Dr Kridel which I really liked alot and it was 3 hour consult just the cost is 20k for revision and don't know if that is in budget. Dr Funk was half the cost.

20k is ridiculous.. makes me really mad because these doctors dont HAVE to charge that much. Good Lord. Thanks for responding ! :)

I know I almost fell off the chair! I also went to Dr Rohrich in Dallas and he was half the cost and is very good but I was unhappy with the imaging he has someone else do it and my nose looked 2 sizes two small. Scared me!

The doctor should ALWAYS be the one to do the imaging. im glad you told me that.

Yes that's the one thing that turned me off. I liked everything he had to say when he examined my nose and told me what he would do. Then he sent me to get images taken and this girl does them and she said he approves them. But she was never in the consult with me so she doesn't know me or that my wish is to keep as much as my nose as I can and preserve my heritage as I am Italian and have always been a little bulbous . The nose came back pretty but small and very "Britney Spears". Which is not me. Even Dr Kridel said that is was way too small. So that turned me off as good as his reputation is I don't want a doctor to do what he thinks will look good on me.

I'm also thinking about going with Dr. Funk but now worried cause of this review. I want to do ethnic rhinoplasty. Do they have more pictures of patients results in office?

The good thing is, this is the worst review I've seen for him anywhere. This is bad but its not nearly as bad as others botched noses I've seen

If I were a doctor and I messed up on a nose and now that patient has to live like that I would reach out and try to correct the problem. This doctor does not care. I think the right thing todo is for the doctor to fix my nose at his expense. This doctors office has never reached out other then to call and remind me of my 10% that I owe and that I'm not going to pay.

Yes it will be. My nose was done in London by Dr Chout and the results were not what I expected. Always stay in the USA! Best doctors and aftercare in the world.

Im shocked that no revision was offered to you at all. What are your plans moving forward?

Yeah I agree he needs to fix it, thats shitty of him. you should put up before any procedure nose pics so we can compare

Could you tell me more about your nose job, mine was done by Dr Chout on Paris 8 years ago and résult was not thé one I expected neither... I cannot find any comments on Dr Chout... And je never replied to me after
6 months post surgery (he moved away so i did not have a chance to see him and show him what was wrong)
