I Now Have a Beautiful Nose - Houston, TX

I had never liked my nose but after I fell while hiking on vacation this past spring and broke my nose it healed crooked and I disliked it even more. My husband shocked me when he told me to give it a few months and if I still didn't like it I could get a nose job. Boy did I ever take him up on his offer. I did quite a bit of research on the internet and decided to make an appointment with Dr Funk after reading so many positive things about him. I immediately felt at ease with Dr Funk after meeting him. During my initial consultation he asked me a lot of questions about my nose and my breathing. He had me describe to him the things I didn't like about the look of my nose and he created a computer generated image of me with a nose both he and I were pleased with the look of. He also explained to me the benefits of having a septoplasty as well. I didn't feel pressured by him at all to have the procedure done. We met with his office manager and she explained all the costs associated with the rhinoplasty and septoplasty. Needless to say, I called Dr Funk back several days later and scheduled my procedure. He and his staff couldn't have done a better job preparing me for the surgery. They let me know what to expect and I was prepared. The surgery lasted a little over 3 hours and I'm very pleased with the results. They had told me that I wouldn't feel like doing much other than getting in and out of bed to eat and to go to the bathroom for the first few days and they were 100% correct. I was surprised because I didn't think the surgery would make me as tired as it did. I had very little pain and the swelling and bruising I had were both consistent with what Dr Funk had told me to expect. I'm amazed how much better I can breathe through my nose now. Before my surgery I could never breathe through my nose solely. I always felt like I could not get enough air into my lungs by just nose breathing and usually breathed through my mouth by default. I'm so happy that I was able to have the rhinoplasty and septoplasty and can't imagine having a doctor better than Dr Funk. He's an artist.
