I have not had a procedure done with Dr. Funk only a revision rhinoplasty consultation. Some background: african american, unsuccessful previous rhino that left me with nasal concavity on one side, in addition to remaining breathing problems. So I found dr funk on google and set up a consultation. After my nasal physical examination and xray review w/ dr funk he advised me that I needed a septorhinoplasty. I wasn't exactly sure of the type of rhino procedure I had w/ my previous doctor but I believed that it was a septorhinoplasty so I got the paperwork from my previous doctor reflecting my previous procedure. The paperwork showed that the procedure I'd had was septorhinoplasty, the same procedure Dr. funk was stating that I needed. Mind boggled, I questioned dr. funk on whether or not my last doctor did the stated procedure or not and can the resulting issues be revised. He stated, "I don't think I can give you the results you're looking for!" -_- huh??? how do we go from you need procedure a, to once you find out I've already procedure a, then saying, "I can refer you to someone?"

So I gave my thanks to dr. funk for letting me know he didnt believe he could give me satisfactory results vs doing the operation like my last doc and having horrible results. I said to myself no problems, heck with the doctor luck I've been having maybe this is a blessing in disguise and went about my way. The following day dr. funk contacted me about the referrals and we began discussing the issue a little more because I was still wondering why he would say I needed a procedure I'd already had because if so I would need to take legal action against my previous doc. Well at some point in the middle of the conversation the line went dead, I kept saying "hello," with no response. Tried calling back, "no response." The next day his receptionist called me with the referral's contact info telling me sorry about yesterday dr. funk's line disconnected because he had to leave the office due to finding out his dog died.
