I hated it. All of it! What was I thinking? An entire sleeve covered me and I wore long sleeves every day to cover it up. I live in Texas and it is so hot. I felt like I didn't do things Bc I was embarrassed of all of my ink. I didn't like the attention and I got plenty of it when I wore sleeveless shirts. Being a mother of a beautiful 9 year old daughter I knew this just was not the image I wanted to present to myself and to her. I decided, after lots of research, to go to a skin center that has the picosure laser. I decided to have all of my tattoos removed. I had my first treatment yesterday. The nurse numbed all of the areas. The tattoo on my lower back somehow didn't get much numbing cream because my shorts moved the Saran Wrap with the cream to a different spot. I literally thought I was going to die when the nurse did my back. It burned like (you know)! I cried. It was the most gosh awful pain I have ever felt. It worse than child birth. My sleeve, one behind my neck, and one on my ring finger all had lots of numbing cream. They were a walk in the park compared to the tattoo without numbing cream. The pain wasn't bad at all. It was tolerable. I'm posting my first pic of my sleeve. The blisters are massive. I feel no pain today. It's just annoying Bc of blisters that are leaking a water like fluid and it's gross. I can't wear long sleeves Bc it rubs up against me so I'm basically stuck at home. The blisters are nasty. I go back in 2 weeks to do the inside of my arm. They can not do my whole arm at once Bc it swells and I need to move my arm. It will take around 9 months to remove entire sleeve. The sleeve is 3200.00 and all of my tattoos (3 including sleeve) totals 4300.00. I will post more pics after next treatment.

Megan was great. She had a good personality and it helps when u can laugh through this. It is painful. She had a cold air blower in one hand and the laser in the other. I definitely would recommend her.

Thank you. I am removing the entire sleeve. No cover up. I don't want any ink at all because I just don't like it on me. The blisters today are intense. I had my first picosure laser session Thursday. Almost all of the blue is gone. It is by far the best laser I've had.

I tried the q switch and did it 4 xs. Nothing changed. Is that what you used? Maybe it depends on the person doing it. Good luck with it. It is agonizing!

Hey, thanks for sharing. How long did the big blisters last for? Did you keep it dressed until the blisters went?
User Avatar

Sorry, I just realised that your review is new so the blisters are still there. Are you keeping it covered?
User Avatar

Yes I'm keeping it covered with gauze Bc the blisters are leaking a yellow like substance. It is really gross and I have at least 20 blisters. I hope this is normal. I look like I am a monster.

Same thing happened to me, the blisters go away and it starts looking better. Definately do not cover such a large area next time lol.

Finally the blisters are gone and now I am peeling and itching like total crazy! I wake up itching. I got some Allegra cream and that is helping. I go back Thursday to have a different section of my sleeve done. I'm not quitting the process no matter how much it hurts or how long it takes. I want this ink off!

The itch is the worst....glad you found something to help relieve it. I used Bactine Spray, in fact I used that after treatment as it was so relieving. Hang in there, you are doing just fine!

2nd session

I had my second session done last Thursday. I had the whole upper portion of the inside of my arm done. I have been in miserable pain. I just want to warn people how intense the pain is and I am sure it is because it is a very large area. I had to go to my doctor to get pain pills. The burn and the throbbing of my skin is honestly the worst pain I've ever dealt with in all of my life. Some days I want to quit this process. I can't work out and I can't even work at this point. I have to hide inside my house because the blisters and fluid are so gross and I'm healing still. I will never get such a large section done at one time ever again. It took me two years to get the sleeve and if it takes two years to have it removed then I'm ok with that. I go back next Thursday to get another section of my arm done but I will be the one deciding how much of an area to work on this time and it will not be any larger than the size of my fist. If you are interested in doing this process just take it slow. It is the only way anyone will be successful with it.

Sorry to hear you're in a lot of pain. The good news is that the pain does become more bearable as you go on, as there is less ink to react. I'm at the point now where laser causes me little pain, but I will admit that it used to be very painful. Keep some cool aloe vera on that, it should help ease things!

Thanks for sharing. I thought maybe it would get worse the more layers of skin they did. I am hopeful now. Are you taking about just regular Aloe Vera gel?
October 9, 2014
I find pure aloe vera gel to be the best. It's a clear gel and is very soothing after a treatment. Keep it in the fridge. :-)

Good to know I'm not the only one removing a sleeve. I have been at mine for over 2 years now. Good luck and it gets better with the blistering and pain as the ink fades!

I'm getting a large chunk of my 3/4 sleeve removed too. You two are my heroes

The only advice I can give you is don't do too much at one time. It hurts beyond just the treatment and the bigger the area the worse the pain. For now on I am doing only small sections at a time. Good luck.

Hello how is the healing? the blisters are gone?

Hi there. How's it going? The blisters are gone but the scabs are bad. I go back Thursday but I'm only getting a small part done. I can't deal with the pain and down time. It's just too much. This process truly sucks and I've never felt so much pain! I think I'm beginning to like my ink more. Lol
October 17, 2014
Hey how is your healing? Did you have another treatment?
User Avatar
October 17, 2014
I decided to get only a small section done yesterday. I was in too much pain and wasn't able to work out or much of anything Bc I was having too much done at one time. I'm slowing down the process. Yesterday went well. I had an allergic reaction and just itch really bad but that's about it so far. Thanks for asking.

I'm keeping up with the treatments. I'm doing smaller sections at a time. The ink is breaking up and I definitely see a difference. It is going to be a long process Bc it is very painful. I feel like it is worth if Bc I do see a difference.
