Session 2

My second session was 3 days ago. The pain during the session was just as bad as the first time, but I felt better in just a few hours. The following day I felt great. The entire tattoo is now a raised and gross feeling pseudo-blister, but I have no broken skin. My fiancé says it feels like my tattoo is in braille. I'm posting a picture taken immediately after the procedure. I will follow up with another one in a few weeks.

1 week after 1st treatment

So, I can certainly see progress! It's only been a week, but all of my blue and green shading is gone and even the heavy black outlines are fading. There was blistering and scabs have formed, but I haven't had any bleeding. As the skin heals it itches like crazy, but the pain was gone 8 hours or so after the procedure. Needless to say I'm stoked with the results so far.

I'm getting married very soon and I wanted the giant mistake between my shoulder blades as faded as possible before my strut down the aisle. My tattoo is a 6 square inch Celtic knot with heavy black outlines and blue, green, and white shading. I was drawn to seek out the PicoSure laser because it is supposed to require fewer treatments and provide better results for blue and green pigment. Today was my first treatment.
I arrived anxious and antsy. I opted for no numbing cream and held my breath. Hot damn! It doesn't tickle. It's like a tiny little sting 10 times a second. Now I know what insects feel like in a bug zapper. Don't let it scare you, the pain is tolerable with a patient technician who understands and sees when you need a little break. Even with a few little pauses, the procedure took about 20 min. Afterward it felt like an isolated, intense sunburn that someone scratched. It's 6 hours later and it still tingles, but not badly.
The remarkable part has been taking off the bandage. I know it's day 1, but all of my blue is gone. I'm super excited to see how fast it disappears!
