Spitting stitches
Well I experienced my first 'spitting stitch' this week or so I think that's what it is called from googling and trying figure out what it was. I've been doing my incision massages as instructed and every so often I do hear/feel pops. Well one morning I'm in the shower and look at my incision and see what looks like a white puss filled pimple. I barely touch it and it pops and this small clear plastic looking thing is there. From what read it's when your skin rejects a stitch.. It's all healed and fine now but was odd. I have a few other hard spots in other areas on my incision and I wonder if those are the same thing... I guess only time will tell. Still feeling great and loving my results. I still have some swelling and numbness around my belly but I'm sure that all takes time. My belly button scar seems to slowly be getting lighter too. Yay!!
12 weeks post op
Has it really been 12 weeks?!? Well I have to say I feel pretty much back to normal. I love my results. I still have numb feelings in parts if my belly and swelling. I thought most of that would have gone by now. I'm using scar cream and madsaging as instructed. This week while massaging I felt several of the stitches pop. It was weird :) my scars are more red now and my belly button scar is more noticinle than I would have hoped. I really hope it clears up more. I'm posting some recent pictures. You can really tell the swelling in the side view picture. I really like how low my belly incision is it covers pretty well.
Moving along
Well I've added exercise back to my routine and it feels so good. And are still hard and I skip them most the time. I need to ask when it's ok to start that. My incision is looking better each day. The swelling is slowly going away . I'm very happy with my results so far. I hear at three months you will see so much change.. I can't wait to hit that mark.
