Today I'm 21 days postop and not feeling good about this decision. My breast are two different sizes and heights and one side of my tummy is larger than the other, I still have a flap and love handles although I paid for Lipo of the flanks. The bra fat area that had Lipo is swollen and lumpy.
Every question to the doctor/nurse has the same response - it's swelling, it's too early to see the real results.
Returned to work this week. Hoping/praying this gets better.

2nd post op visit today.
Doctor removed stitches from breast/tummy. (OUCH!!!!). Stings like hell and 2 hours later I'm still stinging.
Wrapped me back up padding, tape, gauze hip to hip and breast. Told me I could shower but not let water hit directly on incision. Wrap myself up after drying off throughly. Lots of swelling. Received a smaller garment.
I'm concerned about my bra fat area very swollen and flanks neither area seem to have responded to Lipo. Doc said it should be fine, just be patient. I'm still questioning whether it was done.
I'm really congested and It's hard because I can't cough strong enough to get mucus to come up. doctor was hesitate but gave me a z-pack (antibiotics) and made me promise if it wasn't better by Friday to see my PCP.
Cleared to return to work on Monday and drive.
I'm so looking forward to a shower!!!!!!

First post-op visit today.
OMG, PS & nurse tag teamed taking out my drains, changing all my dressings and tape lighnting fast all the while making small talk with my hubby. No warning, just right too it. My husband said it was like being at Jiffy Lube. At first I was like WTH, then it was done and I was like God, I'm soo glad that was done quickly. Little pain, not horrible. Wish I had taken a pain pills before I went.
He told me he felt like my results were going to be really good. That I'm really swollen and I need to give it time. I shared all my concerns regarding the lipo and he said let's just give it time. My silhoutte would definitely be much narrower and not boxey. I made it clear that was my expectation and he kept saying we're only 7 days out.
I was surprised that I'm still not allowed to shower.
He and his nurse had a little debate about what my breast size will be. He says average C she says small D. I want a C, not a D and I told him that prior to surgery. Im pretty pleased with how my breast are coming along.
Surprised that he doesn't want me to take anything for swelling and that I'm covered and taped, gazed all over -breast and tummy.
Going back in 7 days.

I read your question to the plastic surgeons and all of your posts. I am very sorry that you are displeased with your results. I don't know anything about Dr. Withers, but I had Dr. Schusterman do my tummy tuck at the same time I had my hysterectomy, and I was very happy with my flat stomach, (despite my belly button died, but it is better now.) And that was not his fault. It just can happen, but not often.
It sounds like by what you have written, that your ps is being a bit dismissive of your concerns. If I were you, I would wait another month, like Dr. Schusterman said, but if you are still unhappy, you should go see Dr. Schusterman. (He is in the Museum District downtown Houston.) He is the best ps in Houston. He taught most of the other popular doctors in the medical center.
I wouldn't steer you wrong.
At least he didn't read you the riot act (like the second doctor who responded to your question.)
Dr. Schusterman has a very calm and nonjudgmental disposition. He will not judge you for being disappointed in your results. He would more likely try to pin down exactly what you want him to fix and give you his honest opinion on whether or not he can fix it. He will want you to have reasonable expectations about what could be achieved with a revision. I will be happy to answer any questions you have about him. Good luck.
