WORTH IT
I am an avid crossfit junkie. The only thing that was hindering my body and confidence was the loose skin on my stomach as a result of having 2 vertical c-sections and 1 horizontal. I gained 80lbs each the lady two pregnancieseparate, so my tummy looked like a deflated balloon. I had a mini tummy tuck- skin only no liposuction last week and I am beyond pleased with my results! Dr. Sato was fabulous! She was very thorough and went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend her to anyone looking into a mini or full abdominoplasty!

I have the same problem!!!! You give me so much hope!!! Thank you!!!

Awwww thanks! Yeah I am so glad I got it done! Prior to surgery, I worked out at least 5 times per week and looked great aside from the extra skin on my stomach. It was depressing. I was able to get the mini tummy tuck with no lipo or muscle repair. I did have a hernia repaired though but other than that it was basically just skin removal so my hardwork can finally show lol!
Best of luck to you on your journey!

You look amazing! I work out like crazy too and am in the condition as you were pre-op with loose skin. How did your doctor decide on a mini tummy tuck vs. a full? I would love to have a mini only, but have some puckering above my belly button. Like you, I don't care about lipo.

May 25, 2016
It was more like an extended mini because I had puckering above my belly button too. Usually in a mini the belly button isn't floated or repositioned either but mine was. She just went above and beyond!

Im curious about your belly button! My stomach looks a lot like yours did with the puckered skin above the navel. Was yours just a float or did your surgeon do something else to make your navel look better? I am worried about still having wrinkled skin after my TT with floating umbilicus (set to happen in 2 weeks!)

Hey! Just texted my surgeon for clarification. She said it wasn't an umbilical float at all. She moved it like in a full tummy tuck. So it stayed attached to my abdominal wall, she just made a new hole for it when she stretched the skin down. Hope this helps!

congratulations on your tummy tuck! Im also very pleased with my results. there are some things not even sport can fix. I needed muscle repair too so it has been a very long and painful recovery.
wish you a happy healing!

Thanks a bunch!! I'm mentally ready to workout again but I know I need to take it easy. I didn't have muscle repair just a hernia repaired. When was your surgery? Have you started working out?
April 23, 2016
Take your time! I also used to work out 5 times per week .. Weight lifting with my husband but now I have to stop for at least 5 months because of the muscle repair. I can start doing a little cardio after 2 months PO but cannot even think about lifting weights otherwise the muscle repair may fail and I don't want to give it a try. I'm 5 weeks PO now.

Oh wow. Yeah definitely going to take my time. After all of this hard work, I don't want to mess anything up!

Lucky! I couldn't get my drains removed because of circumstantial issues (no weekend office hours then stranded from flooding). I got my drains removed 2 days ago and I'm currently at 12 days post op. It's the weirdest feeling, right?!! Haha

April 23, 2016
Yes! I was so nervous that it was going to burn. It felt really weird but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Looks so scary. I don't know if I could sighs... good luck with your recovery. :)

April 23, 2016
Thanks! After having 3 cesareans my deflated balloon just wouldn't go away. Luckily those scars were removed as well. Hopefully this one will heal as nicely as my last class section scar dido. I know it's going to take time though.

Dr. Sato was my original doctor. Looking at your scar I'm glad I didn't go with her. It's great that you're happy with your results tho. Happy healing.

Its early in the process. And I'm sure scarring from a BBL and a TT are vastly different. I am pleased with my results and Dr. Sato's work.

Girl, some people have no filter or manors for that matter. You look good and your healthy, happy healing! Oh, thanks for sharing your journey:)

Lok ikr! I was taken aback at first by it, but it's fine. She's entitled to her opinion. Thanks for your positive thoughts though ;)!

RealSelf is place to express your opinion and share your journey whether it's pleasant or not. Never once was I disrespectful or rude. My mother taught me better than that dear. It's wonderful that this doll is pleased with her results (as I stated previously), "I , ME, MYSELF" don't like the doctor's technique and I'm glad I chose another doctor. Now who really doesn't have manners?

Scar woes
I should have gotten these pads a long time ago! The ends of my incision have been sticking to my binder and kinda ripping when I take it off to shower. So I took my binder off for a day to let my scar semi heal/harden. It's much better now! But I'm putting these over it and under my binder just in case.

my surgeon put a surgical tape on my incision and told me not to take it off for the first weeks. wonder that your incision had no protection. when I decided to take it off (after 3 weeks) the scar was already healed completely. try to keep it covered so you dont rip it off so often.. this is not good. I would go buy surgical tape and cover it for the next weeks. you can even take a shower with that tape (the one that has a little bit of cotton)

May 2, 2016
Yeah. My surgeon took mine off after day 3. Not sure why. It's better now but yeah probably should have left it on.
Hey there, and welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Your photos look great! Congratulations! How's your scar looking? I hope it's healing well.
Awesome! I'm sure the lumps will settle in time. I hope you'll keep the updates coming!
