Don’t do it. I was 36 y.o. just 2 months ago and now 37. I have good skin, a non-smoker, stay out of the sun and I wear a hat on any day. I have those fine lines on my cheeks that bunch up when I smile and a few little lines everywhere else, but they can be botoxed every few months. Anyway, I did this expensive as hell procedure to get rid of the credit I had from not completing another procedure at my doctor’s office. (He is a triple board facial surgeon, but this was done by one of his employees at one of his other clinics.) I’ll just get to the most important points but if anyone would like more details to base their decision on, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Let’s see... after the procedure my face was red and dry. Some clinics will say to keep the plasma on your face for a few hours, some say 2 hours and some just wipe it off for you. I went in the morning by 10 am and she said wait until 5pm. No way. Common sense told me it was dry and the plasma does whatever it’s gonna do in the first 2 hours. My face looked beaten and cracked so after about 3 hours I washed it off with just cool water and a clean wash cloth and then put on the moisturizer they gave me, which did help. I’ll take a photo of the lotion so you can see the name. It came in a tiny kit.
Ok now..the clinician said the results really only last 4-6 weeks and you do get to see immediate results, especially after a few days when the face stops swelling and bruising goes away. I did not bruise easily, however my face was red and then a little splotchy for about 3 more days. I did not peel too bad either. Here’s what I noticed: my fine lines on my smiling face did lessen, as in were not so obvious. The deeper lines when I smiled even became less hollow. I did appear to look 26-30 y.o. again BUT this ONLY lasted about 5 weeks for me! Sooooo...and they know it, so why so damn expensive?! Plus, I just really don’t think that the blood they drew from my arm really makes any difference. Not at all. I THOUGHT that I was getting the procedure where they actually inject the blood in your face, which can be really painful, (and the expense might make sense? Because better results? Longer?) but the one they did on me they just basically smeared the plasma back onto my face! So, no, I don’t believe that it mattered. I believe the actual machine they used on my face (the pen) is what plumped up my skin for a few weeks.
I also want people to really consider how their own skin might react. This really brutalizes the layers and I can totally see how it could make it look worse for some. Apparently, my skin is still young and strong enough to withstand the abuse, but I am serious when I say that I also prayed over this procedure the night before. Fortunately for me, at least I’m back to looking the same, no worse off.

Provider Review
Ridiculously expensive and might recommend too many procedures or doses of them. I pray and trust my gut, saving my own face and wallet. I just realized I could wait and I’m not that old-looking :) He and his staff are experienced in their fields and I’d trust them to not mess up my face, to be honest. The prices just seemed to be gouged. It is what it is. He is pretty good with fillers like Sculptra and Restylane Silk. His Botox prices are nuts. I go somewhere else for half the price.
