How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

DO NOT GO TO MPRESSIVE FACES (Houston)
I would give it 0 stars if I could.
If you read my previous comments on Realself, you will see that I got microblading done by Maggie at MPressive faces 19 months ago and it did not turn out as expected. She is the owner and master tech. I paid somewhere around $500.
I talked to Maggie a few days after the procedure to tell her that I was not happy with my eyebrows and she said that she would match the decent eyebrow to the bad one (picture) - No, thank you. So I never went for the touch up because I felt I could not trust her and was too scared to make them worse. The few months after microblading were horrible, I did not go outside, I cried, I researched every possible option...I was desperate.
Today, almost 2 years later, I have gone to several professionals and have tried everything to make them fade - microdermabrasion, chemical peels, retin-A...None of them can believe someone did this to my face and, the worst part, this tattoo will not go away.
I even tried pico-sure laser, but since the pigments that were used had iron oxides (Biotouch), the patch test area turned black and my dermatologist did not want to go ahead treating the full eyebrows.
I e-mailed them this week to ask if, since they did my microblading, they knew of any options to remove them. Their answer was "No other client has had this experience as most of them expressed any issues at their touch up. As far as removal, we would suggest laser removal". They also stated that "usually after 12 months or so, the pigment fades substantially. Almost non existent. Perhaps, all of your attempts to get them removed by your board certified dermatologists, that has caused them to turn colors and now harder to fade".
PLEASE, DO NOT GO TO MPRESSIVE FACES! Mistakes happen, but they will treat you like it's your fault and make you feel even worse (if that is even possible). They only want your money and could care less about their clients!
I would say more - Do not get microblading unless you have almost no eyebrow hairs, and do lots of research before going ahead with the procedure.
