Finally! Houston, TX

I went to my 1 week post op appt this morning at 9:15am and am very pleased with the way things are progressing! As always, they saw me on time :) And, as always, everyone had a beautiful smile on their face and was warm and welcoming. The pain and discomfort has improved tremendously the last couple of days! Nothing I have experienced has been out of the ordinary or concerning. They went over what to expect in the next couple of weeks and reviewed with me how to properly massage them. They. Look. Great! No bruising or any issues with the incisions. Just big beautiful breasts! Attaching a few photos of me covered up, will post some bare ones later for comparison.

I have always been small. After having two kids, they got stretched out and then deflated. I'm 35yo, 5'5", 125lbs, 34a/b. Decided on 350cc Mentor Silicone Gel Round High Profile under muscle thru incision under the breast. Prior to surgery, I 'nested'. Stocked up on groceries, cleaned every inch of my home, all laundry, etc. Ate well the night before and took one Diazepam. Arrived early for my 10:30am appt and was calm the whole morning. Everything went perfectly! Then came recovery. I've always had a high tolerance for pain and sickness. But apparently that tolerance faded over time. I. Feel. Everything. I even had that moment like when you're in labor and swear you're never having sex again. Or hungover and swear off drinking. I am currently 4 days post op. The way I feel today is how I expected to feel 1 day post op. Not only do I feel the tight, swelling pain in my breasts, I feel soreness in every muscle I have to use while avoiding my chest muscles. My left breast swelled slightly more than the right. It is numb on the surface, but reflects more pain inside. There is also one specific spot on left that keeps giving me a burning sensation. The bloating. The constipation. The lack of sleep. I'm less mobile than I expected to be. I'm like tyrannosaurus rex in slow motion. Roars and all. Thank God for my husband! Definitely have a patient and loving person caring for you. Lots of pillows and blankets. Buy an extra sports bra or two to alternate. And take your meds on time, every time. Don't be a hero. While I wasn't prepared for the consistent level of pain and discomfort I'm experiencing, it's still very much worth it to me! So far the size is perfect and exactly what I was going for. I will update after my post op appt on 1/26/16 and try to upload all the photos I've taken along the way.
