Loving my Lap Band; Paid $10, 000.00 Houston, Texas. Dr. Reilly

I was little hungry during pre-op first two weeks liquid diet, mainly in evening; then post surgery, I was never hungry at all, no appetite or a care in the world about food. Then on 4th week, & my first adjustment, I was getting small, small appetite, mainly wasting food, only taking about 6-8 bites at meal time. Now, this is my 6th week post surgery, I eat about 12-15 bites then I'm good. For the 31 days, I did coffee, tea, tons of water, sugar free kool aid in my water, broths, bouillon cubes broth, sugar free jello, & sugar free Popsicles which I am now addicted to, haha! I bought like Lipton broths, no chunks, no noodles, etc. I never ever thought I could do it & succeed but when we want something so bad, we can & will do it! I'm so very happy with it so far, Im glad I did it, very exciting journey! I don't regret at all spending the money for myself! It's hard work but will be so worth it! It's a great tool! ;). Thank you guys! I am looking for a lap band buddy or a support group if you know of any! Thanks so much! ;)))

I had my first adjustment on 9/12/13 & I have 3 ccs in my band, great that I never feel hungry. I did lose majority on 31 day liquid diet. Walking or riding bike 30-45 min. About everyday. So far I love it, love my surgeon, & support. I really just need me a buddy to talk with, compare notes or some type of support group who is ahead of me so I will know what's next ya know? I also read reviews on here before my surgery & while I was researching all of the info! ;). Thanks so much! I would like to lose 90-100 so when I get closer to my goal I will post pics! ;)))

Tightening sends signals to the brain that you are not hungry, we can not eat very much but are very satisfied, new stomache can not fit more than 1/2 cup at a time normally, I can not even finish a kids meal & not hungry again for like 8 hours or more. Its almost 3 months for me, I am pushing 40 pounds lost, Dr says I'm ahead of the game but I did liquid diet for 31 days & lost majority right there plus every month when I have an adjustment I do liquids 2 days so I think that's like a boost..... I only have 4.7 ccs in my band so far; I love it so far, I think slow but it's healthier to lose slow! Good luck to all! ;)))))
