I had the 1st hair transplant I've had since I was a child to hopefully restore hair destroyed from an old accident, & it went well. I'm only 6 months postop right now & awaiting results... so far so good. More will be shared in coming months, & I will have another procedure in the near future.

The doctor & staff was very nice & hospitable. I was given drugs & stayed awake for several hours for the entire FUT process. I first had a PRP session, which stung & was quite uncomfortable... kind of like a laser procedure. Then they removed a strip from the back of my head. That part was also very uncomfortable, although I've been through enough dental visits that I could tolerate it. Nothing was too painful, just very uncomfortable. After that, I rested while techs extracted hairs from the strips. After lunch, they spent the afternoon implanting the hairs. I rode home wide awake & was fine. The upcoming weeks were rather stressful, as I was recuperating during Hurricane Harvey flooding in Houston... & my head felt awkward after that as well. Eventually the head sensation finally went away. I plan on getting an FUE next time.
