27 Year Old, One Child- In a Great Deal of Pain After Procedures to Abdomen - Houston, TX
ORIGINAL POST
I have had my upper and lower abdomen procedure...
$3,900
I have had my upper and lower abdomen procedure done last week (07/09/2015 & 07/11/2015). Obviously there is no way to see results yet, but what I do want to share with anyone thinking about getting this done is that there is A LOT of discomfort associated with this procedure. From what I understand as well as talking with many other people who have had it, the abdomen is the most painful area. This is hardly communicated to the patient as the procedure has often been described as “mild to no discomfort”, however I have to say- everyone that I have spoken to has experienced very severe pain and discomfort. I was under the impression that there was hardly any downtime, however I have had to leave work early two days in a row now and go home and lay underneath a fan and take pretty strong pain medicine. For any mommies who have had a C-section, the pain is very similar. It is very hard to sleep and at times you need help getting up and moving around. I am not someone who cannot tolerate pain, as I am not sensitive and can handle a lot- but I won’t lie, this has been pretty rough so far. The strange part is the very severe pain doesn’t even start until about 3-4 days later after the procedure. The procedure itself is pretty uncomfortable, but nothing compared to what’s to come. I am currently waiting for this all to subside, but it seems to be getting much worse day by day. I did not have any bruising, however I did and still have lots of swelling, which I do recognize is most common. I am not here to complain by any means, I just wanted to let anyone else know who can’t tolerate pain very well, that you should expect pain to say the least. It is very similar to having cramps, as well as very sharp sudden pains, as well as sever itching and burning- similar to feeling like a ton of fire ant bites or bee stings. I really am hoping for great results as I definitely am currently paying the price!

Hang in there. Many who have had the procedure report that the pain does subside. At least the swelling is going down. Take care of yourself!
I am taking arnica homeopathic and applying arnica and cooling gels. Exercising. You can't hurt yourself. And it goes away. My friend had it done. It takes a couple of months to see results. But it's better than surgery
