I am a month and a half Post op and I feel about 80% back to my normal self. The other 20% is the fact I can not sleep on my back yet, or sit comfortably without cushion. I notice my garment is fitting very comfortable so it may be time for me to go down garment size.
I did get the green light to wear jeans about 3 weeks post op. Let me tell you, FASHION NOVA. My job's uniform is in jeans so I went to American eagle and express to find a quick pair or two to get me by since I knew I would be going down in size once swelling went down. It was so difficult to find something that would get past my hips but slim in the waist. Thankfully my dad knows how to do alterations and was able to assist me.
I ordered some from Fashion Nova as a tip from a former BBL patient of Dr. Cortes and they are amazing! It fits snug and high waisted made for curvy girls.
Another tip, the cushion foam that the doctor's office gives you is so uncomfortable. It's hard foam and pushes into your thigh. It was so difficult driving with it since it made my leg NUMB. Go buy the dr Miami BBL pillow. It's $99 but makes recovery so much easier.
My size did decrease but I'm still very happy with it. It's very proportioned to my body and I'm so much more confident in clothes. I kept reading about the "drop and fluff" period, but I'm not sure if this is valid for everyone since my implant is intramuscular. I tried sitting without cushion, and it just feels like sitting on two wallets lol
OH! For my girls that have breast implants and are forced to sleep on your belly, use cocoa butter on your breast. My husband noticed stretch marks on my breast that I've never had. I've concluded that it was from me sleeping on them in which it forces the breast implant to rise up giving me stretch marks on the upper portion near my cleavage. I used cocoa butter and was more careful with the way I propped my body at night and it seems to diminish. I will be posting 3 weeks post op pictures and will upload 1 1/2 month photos.
Question for butt implant ladies, did any of you wear your compression garments longer than recommended? I'm so use to it that I actually feel more comfortable with it on. Can I continue to use them to contour my body or will it not make a difference after so long?

Tomorrow I am removing my drains. However, my right drain has started to drain more in the past couple of days and the coloration is a deep red as if it was my first day out of surgery. Should I be concern as this is the reverse results I want? I have to have back to work next week and I absolutely can not have these noticeable drains on me! I'm healing okay, have not gotten completely gotten off the advils. Another thing I'm also experiencing is a lot of itchiness where my body was liposuctioned. Is this normal? I took a Benadryl in hopes to stop the itch. I also bought the Dr Miami super booty buddy. Has anyone had any experiences with those? I wonder if Dr Cortes will still remove the right drain even when there's still a lot of fluid. Around 30cc. It's a lot easier to get out of bed and move around. I'm a lot more mobile, but it's still difficult to pick things up. I feel like one implant is healing faster than the other, which I hear is normal. This is by far the hardest recovery from my breast aug and prior BBL. You will need help! Laying on your tummy is so much stress on your neck. When did you ladies start sleeping on your back again? I can't wait to fully recover! Size and shape is looking great and very proportioned to my body.
