How did you nipple heal? My surgery will be in Jan and I’m terrified to lose nipple sensation or lose the nipple all together.

Could you show us how the scars look 5 years post-op? It's rare to see pictures on here that are that long after post-op.

Hey! In some of those pix was it infected or that's apart of the healing process??

Yes… but it healed and you can’t tell it was infected

Thank you for sharing. I need a reduction and lift as well. I already has a tummy tuck with muscle repair and I fear the scars on my breasts could make me depressed post-op. But I’m determined to get the surgery before the year’s end.

I must say that overall I made the best decision, the complications were depressing, but now my boobs seem to be healing properly, but i am considering getting nipple tattooed because of the complications, it has a discoloration on the one that had problems, I am not willing to do the revision due to something else going wrong, i would just rather keep the nipple i have instead of losing it completely. Currently do not know what the accuracy of the bra size because still wearing sports bras all day and night. Yet there is really light feeling, so the sensation is not back yet.

I too have gotten necrosis of the nipple. I had my surgery on 9/8. I've been through 17 hyperbaric treatments to help heal it. The necrosis is off but now I have fatty tissue showing. I see 1/2 of my nipple and aerola survived. Now I guess it's just a waiting game on how it will heal. how does your scar look? I'm curious to see what I'm in for.
