I've wanted to have a breast augmentation for years but I was afraid to choose the WRONG doctor. I've heard horror stories and have seen terrible botched jobs, so I would spend hours upon hours looking at similar body types and their before and afters on different websites including this one. The patient reviews on here are what made me choose to go in and see Dr. Basu.
I was so nervous and my fiancé was a little hesitant about the whole thing so he came with me to the consultation. I first met with Dr. Basu's office manager, Elizabeth. She was very easy to open up to and talking to her was like talking to a friend! She explained the consult process and then I met with Dr. Basu. My fiancé and I were soo impressed. He answered every question we had and even informed us on information we never even knew about concerning the surgery and recovery time. For my exam, Linnea, his CST, came in first. She sat down with us and explained the exam process so that I wouldn't be surprised. Dr. Basu's recommendation was a breast augmentation with a periareolar lift because of my asymmetry and slight sagging. I was terrified at the idea of a lift! The idea of scarring scared me, but i knew it was necessary. My asymmetry was ALWAYS something I was so self conscious about. Dr. Basu explained the scar would be completely hidden along the border of my areolas and that made me feel a little better! I didn't feel pressured at all and Dr. Basu recommended that we take our tme and think it all over. That night I went crazy researching before and afters on that specific procedure on Dr. Basu's actual website. I was shocked that where the lift scars were supposed to be on the after pictures were not even visible! That next morning I called and booked my surgery!
On the day of surgery I was soooo nervous -- excited but nervous! Dr.Basu's nurses Abby and Shannon, were my nurses that day. They prepped me before surgery and stayed with me as well. They were funny and great at calming my nerves -- they were my comic relief! When I was going into surgery and being sedated it was just like going to sleep! I woke up in the recovery room and it felt like I was asleep for just a minute!! I had no pain at all, just some pressure and next thing I knew I was sitting comfy on my couch being catered to -- one of the perks! As far as pain, I only needed to take the pain medication for about 3 days. The only thing I really felt was soreness.
Currently, I am a little over a month post surgery and I am the happiest ever for going through with this. I love my results now and I can only imagine how ecstatic I will be a month to 3 months from now!
