4 MONTH UPDATE- BREAST IMPLANTS

Still loving my results. I ended up with having a bit of muscle spasms after a few weeks but, it's cleared out pretty good.

I really like the placement and receive so many compliments on them. The breast pockets Dr. Ciaravino created are good too; they're nicely round and haven't dropped. I'm not certain if it's based on Dr. Ciaravino's techniques but, I still have great upper pole fullness and I don't need a bra under cute tops to have that nice perky, lifted look to them.

I highly recommend him.

Profile pic is most recent. The bra is lace and as you can see, my implants are sitting nice and high with it being round and centered.

I'm a little over a week post op and I am already in love with my results! I currently do not have any swelling and I'm only left with very minimal bruising.

My consultation was a month ago and that went smoothly. The entire staff was welcoming and prompt. Scheduling was easy too. Everyone works as a team.

The consultation is with a beauty consultant and mine was with Trish. She was very knowledgable and gave me plenty of information. We discussed my wants and looked at a few implants. She then took me to the Vectra machine so I could see my possible results in 3D. This really helped me visualize what I wanted and helped her to literally see what type of look I was going for. I really recommend using the Vectra because it beats out any type of sizers. After discussing with Trish, I got to see Dr. Ciaravino. He was welcoming and gentle. He made the consultation easy and comfortable. Dr. Ciaravino did a few measurments and then we also discussed my wants and what was "safe" for my frame. I really liked him (the most competent doctor I've consulted with) and his staff so, I decided to schedule my surgery.

Fast forward to my pre operative appointment. This appointments goes further into what size you want and discusses more of the before and after treatment of surgery. Dr. Ciaravino definitely puts your health and what your body can accommodate first. He tells you why you can or can't have this or that size and it's just the reality of it. I went in wanting 420cc's or more (while other surgeons nonchalantly agreed to give me 420cc+ without ever explaining to me that my body wouldn't be able to hold it or the long term effects), but, Dr. Ciaravino explained to me why and how which really made me change my mind about stuffing in 420cc+ and to do more research on implant sizes for petite frames. In the end, we decided on 325cc or 350cc (I pushed for 350cc). By the way, Dr. Ciaravino uses the Keller funnel even for the breast crease incision. This helps to eliminate more bacteria and contamination so your chances of infection or capsular contracture is reduced. Anyhow, don't feel discouraged if you have a number of cc's in mind and he elects for something more or less. He has a good eye for what works with your frame and keeping your health in mind.

The day of the surgery went very smooth too. You'll get asked a few questions and take a pregnancy test. Then Dr. Ciaravino came in to go over the surgery plan to double check everything. Dr. Nguyen was the anesthesiologist and his assistant Christine were amazing. They both made me feel comfortable and it helped calm my nerves. I don't recall much except Christine, Dr. Nguyen and I talked a bit and before I knew it, I was done and out. It felt like I took a nice nap and luckily, I didn't have any post anesthesia sickness (thanks, Dr. Nguyen and Christine!).

I went back home and took a small peek and the incisions Dr. Ciaravino made were clean and small. I had very minimal bruising too. I then checked how many cc's I got and Dr. Ciaravino was able to give me my 350cc! I kept pushing and asking him to :) (Don't forget to get your device card!) I was so happy and then passed out to sleep. The recovery was typical. I slept for the most part but, it was a lot easier than I had thought it would be. (I'm guessing it has to do with his rapid recovery techniques).

I had my post op exam on Wednesday (a week after surgery). I watched a video on how to massage and then Dr. Ciaravino checked up on my breasts and told me I was good. Sarah helped me with the massage and then gave me a few vouchers for Botox and Coolsculpting.

I'm now a little past a week post op and I feel good. I'm able to go out and do light errands. I don't drive yet and I still take it easy but, it's crazy to think that I had major surgery and the recovery and results have been this amazing. I really love my new breasts! They fit my frame so nicely and I look and feel incredible:) (I've already received so many compliments on them!) I'm so happy I took Dr. Ciaravino's word on not going into the 420cc+ realm. I would have looked so ridiculous. The 350cc makes me full but also natural and I love, love, love, love it :)

I highly, highly recommend Dr. Ciaravino. He's very skilled, a great surgeon and gives you what you want without making empty promises.

On a side note, the only issue I had was with a mix up with the surgery schedule but, it wasn't a huge ordeal and I know that they're very busy too. Emailing was a bit confusing at times because I think it was an automated email address so, it's best to call instead for any queries.

I keep getting messages on Dr. Ciaravino and his staff being "bad" but, I definitely didn't receive any bad services so, if you're interested in him, at least go in for yourself to judge before not going at all due to a few bad posts, which are mainly people who haven't had surgery with him and they're complaining about their consultation time being short. The consultation is just that, you're there to get a feel and then the real planning happens during the pre op appointment. That's the whole purpose of having a consultation, it's not meant to be a pre op appointment so, I think people should at least understand that. In all honesty, it wouldn't be fair and it would take so much time to give a surgical plan to every person that is only coming in for a consultation (his practice doesn't charge for consultations, by the way).

Sorry for the small rant but, I don't like getting so many messages saying he's a bad doctor and that I was dumb to go with him when they haven't even had surgery with Dr. Ciaravino or they want their deposits back. And again, the practice clearly states their policy so, it shouldn't be an issue and billings is totally separate from the doctor.

Anyways, I really love my choice and my breasts! If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)
