I'm so glad I went to Dr. Feldman! His offices are private and very accommodating. The entire staff there is super nice and are always prepared for you once you walk in the door. If you submit online pictures of yourself you'll get a free consultation and the doctor will also have insight on your anatomy before you come in which is great. He really took his time wth the consultation, addressing everything I could possibly imagine so I didn't even have any questions left to ask. He was honest with me about my body, but never made me feel bad about it. I had some asymmetry and he told me he'd try his best to make my boobs first cousins, because at the moment they were second or third cousins lol. No boobs are perfect and your result really relies on what you start with so I completely understood that. He has a very easygoing personality so it's very comfortable to be around him! I was ready to book my surgery that day. As I was trying on sizers, (be mindful that the doctor but also a few other people will be in the room w you, as you're topless-which I felt comfortable with.) I was stressing out about the number of cc's to get (as I wanted to go bigger but doc recommended the smaller one- but he said he will try to see if it would work of course) so they told me I could try on again and decide later. There was no pressure to decide at the consultation. They gave me the pricing which was good for 30 days, but I think I called to book my surgery date the next day ($500 deposit which is taken out of total cost.)
At the post op I decided I def wanted to try to go with the bigger implant. Jeanette, the coordinator is who you'll meet with post op, is amazing!!! She told me that the doctor would ask on surgery day that if two sizes looked good, would I want bigger or smaller so I was like okay great lll let him know then. The difference in my sizes would be teaspoons anyway. Jeanette was who i spoke to the most, I emailed her any questions or concerns I had and she would email me back very quickly. Even on weekends!
Surgery day came and I wasn't nervous AT ALL! I was super excited and the only thing I was nervous about was the recovery (because it's weeks long and pretty strict.) My surgery app was at 11am (3rd patient of the day) but they told me don't be surprised if the doc is running a little late because he never rushes through any surgeries. Which I thought was a good thing, I wouldn't want him to rush through surgery. You don't go to surgery right away, you have to take a pregnancy test (if you are pregnant, surgery cancelled no refund, be careful!!!) meet with the nurse, get an IV, meet the anesthesiologist before, so I think the surgery started about 2-3pm. So we were about I'd day 2 hours behind schedule, I'd def recommend to book the earliest surgery possible, because by the time my surgery came I was dying of hunger since we can't eat since midnight the night before.
The whole staff was amazing, the nurse was so nice. The anesthesiologist was amazing, he put the IV in me (I'm deathly afraid of needles) and it was a breeze! Didn't feel a thing. They took me to the operation room and he'd said he'd give me something to relax. I knocked out in a millisecond and I woke up what felt like 5 seconds later lol. No pain, I was just groggy and felt a little pressure but the pain was soooo bearable! Not even what I'd call pain. They wheeled me out to the car and the recovery has been super easy. I'm lucky that I don't work and I also had someone to take care of me everyday. I def had frankinboob which freaked me out a lot! I was a little sad about it but a week later it's gone and boobs are looking good! So don't worry!!! Your frankinboob will go away!!! It was hard to get out of bed without using my arms and that was the hardest part of my recovery. I tied a rope around my upper arms to remind myself I couldn't use them. I wanted to be extra careful. Like the doc says, you've made an investment so do whatever you can to protect that!
The only bad thing that happened to me was I had a severe allergic reaction to the sulfa antibiotics (I didn't know I was allergic) and developed chronic hives on day 7. I emailed Jeanette and she replied so quickly and sent prescriptions to my pharmacist immediately. My allergic reaction lasted about a week consisting of red itchy hives. I was afraid that the hives would scar but two weeks later and all the marks are gone, no scarring (thank god.) I always feel like they truly care about their patients and talking to Jeanette is like talking to a friend, love her! Dr. Feldman's work is amazing I must say! My boobs don't even look like cousins to me, they look like sisters, so he did a great job with me. Can't wait for my pec muscles to relax and for them to drop completely! I got mod plus silicone, incision under crease, haven't even felt my incision once. No pain. Also, we did the special where we paid all cash and it was only $5100 (I needed a thong bra which was an extra $100 something) everything is included! Except prescriptions. I paid about $160 for 5 medications. Use the GoodRx discount card they give you!
