WORTH IT$7,000
I have always had a problem with my breast. They have never been perky or cute to me. Even before children. I have always wanted a breat augmentation, but once I had started having children I decided that I would wait until after I was done having babies. My youngest is 1.5 years old and I decid d to go ahead and have the surgery.
I went to Facebook and asked for referrals, and began my research from there. Immediately I had people saying Ciaravino. I started researching him as well as several of the other doctors that were suggested. I just want to say I can't believe that some of these doctors actually post pictures of their work with crooked nipples and what not. Scary! I really liked all of Dr Ciaravino's work. It all seemed to be more of a natural look as opposed to [RS bleep] star.
I made my free consult appointment with Dr Ciaravino. I went in two weeks later and met with Ashley. She was very sweet and informative. The office was very nice and clean and all of the girls seemed very friendly. Ashley asked me what I was considering having done and what my goals were. I thought I would need a lift and an augmentation. After slipping into a robe and letting Ashley see what I had she told me that I wouldn't need a lift. I was greatful for that. I didn't want that scarring, extended recovery time, or extra cost. I chose UHP Silicone because I did not like the way the saline felt. Initially we thought the 375cc would be good. Dr Ciaravino came in and also took measurements and did and exam. He agreed that 375cc would fit me perfect and said that he was pretty sure I would need to go over the muscle. I'm a paramedic and do a lot of heavy lifting at work. The whole purpose of the implants was to fill up empty space and give me volume. With my pectoral muscles being thick going under the muscle would have worked against the implant.
After the consult I went into Sara's office where she quoted me the price and we scheduled the surgery for almost 4 weeks later. This was the first available date.
Before I went into my preop appointment the office emailed me all my consent forms and I was able to get those done. At my preop I had decided that I wanted to go ahead and do 400cc. Dr C was unsure if they would fit but said that would be our plan and if he needed to back down to 375cc instead he would. They gave me a bag with hibicleanse, a bra, scarfade gel, and all my prescriptions to have filled before my surgery.
I had my surgery done at First Street Surgical Center. The staff there was very friendly. Dr C was prompt and the procedure was started right on time. My only complaint is the doctor did not speak to myself or my husband in person after the procedure. He called my husband in his cell phone in the waiting room and told him the surgery went well and he was able to do the 400cc implants. I did wake up in some pain and itching, but it was addressed with medications promptly. The pain was really more burning at the incision site. I believe Dr C injects numbing medications into the breast to help with post op pain.
I went home probably two and a half hours after my surgery was done. I was up walking around that evening. Day two was good as well. The third day was the worst. I guess the numbing medication had worn off. I have a low tolerance for pain and already take Vicodin for chronic lower back pain so the Vicodin the prescribed didn't help much. However all in all the pain wasn't unbearable. More than anything it just get like tightness. I did have a lot of bruising on my left breast that eventually resolved, but other than that my recovery was uneventful.
Follow up was one week later and I saw Ashley. She checked the incisions and showed me the video on massages. The massaging helped so much with the tight mess feeling. A week after that I was able to take the steristrips off the incisions.
I'm 3.5 weeks out from my procedure and absolutely love my results. They look very natural and feel amazing. I am so glad I finally did this for myself and my only regret is I didn't do it sooner!
