5 Month BBL Update!! Round 2??
Soooo, I've been locked out of my RS account for like the last 2-3 months and just got my password sorted today. But I wanted to come back and update you guys. I haven't had any serious complications thank goodness! I healed up and I'm back to normal. I'm still working on my diet and fitness, but it is a journey. My belly button looks completely normal now, it looked kind of off at like 1 or 2 months post and I was kinda worried about it (you can look at my before and afters and see) but now it looks back to normal. The doctors are NOT lying when they say healing takes time. I do have a little post inflammatory hyper pigmentation on my arms (where it was lipo'd) but it has cleared up a lot and is barely noticeable. The hyper pigmentation on my side (the area thats hidden by a bra strap) is taking a bit longer to clear up, but it can take up to a year to clear before it's considered permanent.
I still really like my results, BUT.... I do think I may go back to Dr. Sato for a round 2 sometime next year 2019. I'm happy with the size of my booty and don't need anymore hips what so ever, but I do have a flat spot on the side of my booty that is really noticeable at a certain angle and I want it to be rounded out to give me that bubble butt look. It's pretty much where my butt dipped in before sx, so it's giving me a hard time.
While I'm not worried about going through sx again, that recovery stage was a b*** and nerve wrecking. Plus all the pills was a pain in the butt too. I haven't brought a round 2 up to the doctor or my husband yet. But I'm still thinking if it's something I want to do or not. I know I would be happier with my over all result if I could get it rounded out. Glad I hung on to those expensive fajas!
I'm planning to reach out to Dr. Sato at a follow-up in January and see what she thinks. Since it would involve way less lipo I'm hoping I won't have to give up another summer.

1 month post op Update (w/ photos!)
I'm finally a month post op! I feel better and better each week. The only hard thing at this point is that I have a lot of scar tissue/hardness in my sides, lower back and arms and it's really uncomfortable and makes me stiff, and a little lumpy, but both the doctor and my masseuse says it will take a while before it softens up and doesn't feel so tight.
I've started to sit without my little pillow at around 3.5 weeks post op, only on our very soft couch though. In the car, I still use my bbl pillow. My butt is still a little tender though, so sometimes when laying on my back I still use the pillow to prop my butt up. I've been babying the hell out of my self.. but some girls don't sit for 3 months trying to protect their booties, so I don't feel too crazy lol. My hips at the widest point measured 45" during the first-week post-op, and it's still 45" at 1 month. I don't feel like I've lost any volume yet.. but I'm hoping it stays at this size.
I've been tracking my heart rate multiple time a day over the past week, and it looked pretty normal all week....until... I went to the office for my post-op appointment... then it skyrocketed up to 125 bpm. It hadn't been that high since the last time I was at a post-op appointment. Which in my opinion, proves it was my hospital anxiety making my heart rate so high when they tested it.
I'm finally out of my garment as well. I kept the arm garment on for 3 weeks then after a shower one day just never put it back on... it was sooooo uncomfortable. I don't think it's hindered my results at all because my arms still have a good amount of fat so it's hard to tell if I have swelling or anything in them. I took the faja off yesterday and it's been about 24 hours without it. I think a lot of girls go overboard with all the compression and faja wearing.. Those first 2-3 weeks are important I guess, but the way your body is going to look long term is in the hands of your surgeon, skin elasticity, and your diet/fitness post op. I'll let you know if I feel the same way after a couple weeks of not wearing any compression. The only thing about not being compressed 24/7 is that my skin has to get used to clothes and fabrics rubbing against it again. My back and sides are hypersensitive right now, and I was itching so bad last night that I had to break out the Diazepam just to calm me down enough to go to sleep.
I'm still happy with my results, it's nice having some booty back there, and amazing not to have a gut/back rolls. It still feels unreal at times. Then there are some days I wish I had more booty and hips. But I get over it quick because I will admit sometimes I feel a little self-conscious in public, because I've noticed not many women are actually that curvy.. so if I have on a dress or tight pants it's like "whoa.." and I don't want too much attention drawn to me when I'm at Target or the grocery store.
Right now my torso is like playdoh, it's firm but the garment would leave creases and lumps in my skin..but after massaging them out everything would be smooth again. It's weird, and I can't wait for everything to heal up and feel normal again. I'm still doing my massages at least once a week, but I'm trying to do twice a week for the next couple of weeks while this scar tissue heals.
Speaking of scars... my actual incisions are all doing their own thing. My arm incisions are kind of big, along with the incisions on the top of my butt. I can tell those are going to leave a pretty big scar, but my scars, in general, blend pretty well into my skin and are barely noticeable.
Well, that's pretty much it for now... just trying to get back into normal life things and getting more active. I'm focusing on massages, hydration, and trying to eat right. According to Dr. Sato I can resume working out and sex at 1 month... so I'm about to take it slow and work on my fitness. Now that my rolls and gut are gone, I can focus on doing some semi-heavy weightlifting and taking long walks. I want to get into doing sprints because It's good cardio for building the booty... but I know my body isn't THAT healed yet.

Post SX--- actual recommended supplies
Now that I'm almost 4 weeks post op, I thought I would share what supplies I actually used vs what I didn't. Along with a few things I didn't realize I needed until after surgery.
backboard (don't think I will use this)
ab board (used for a week, don't think it does much unless your garment is creasing)
3 lipo foams 8x12” (helpful for garment creasing or garment rubbing you)
40 chuxs (used about half, leaking only last for 1-3 days)
PStyle- female urinal (go with the bottle-shaped urinal, this was useless with swelling)
arnica tablets (didn't work)
arnica gel (didn't use, didn't have much bruising after a week)
Gideon Handheld Massager (to help with lumps and soreness)
Massager roller stick (to help smooth out stomach and back, feels great on arms)
long sleeve maxi dresses
black camisoles (go with tanks or t-shirts, put one on asap to prevent faja burns)
front clasp no underwire bras (very nice to have if you have big boobs)
baby wipes (used them for going to the bathroom)
black comforter (not trying to mess my sheets up)
Dial antibacterial soap (needed)
Tylenol (used for a few days)
Milk of Magnesia (didn't have any constipation personally)
Iron supplement (use before & after surgery)
Collagen vitamins to help with skin (currently taking)
Gatorade
water bottles
pineapple juice (didn't seem to really help with swelling, but it tastes good)
prune juice (didn't need)
gauze and band-aids (only used one band-aid for an incision that opened)
cornstarch baby powder (helpful, but putting a tight shirt under your faja is a good idea too)
Things I found to be helpful post op::
- get 2 King size pillows from Walmart/Target and some waterproof pillow covers, your body is going to be sore, so having a nice fluffy pillow to lay on in the car or in the bed is a must! They are also useful when it comes to propping yourself up when you start to lay on your back but want to avoid so much booty pressure.
- a small yoga bolster, the one I have is listed on Amazon as "YogaAccessories Small Rectangular Cotton Yoga Bolster" I use this as a bbl pillow in the car, during massages, and when I'm laying on my back or sitting on the couch.
-Get a ton of flushable wet wipes for bowel movements post sx
- A second garment, after showers you really don't want to have to put a damp garment back on
-Wrap around foam, if you notice that your faja is causing lines in your skin (like deep dents you can feel under your skin) the wrap around foam is a perfect solution. It's uncomfortable, but until I can find a garment that is going to prevent the dents, this is helping those lines from becoming permanent.
