I initially had a Tummy tuck w/muscle repair, liposuction, and BBL in January 2013 with Dr. Jejerukar in Dallas. I am happy with all of my results EXCEPT the BBL! During my consultation, one of the specific questions I asked was how would it be possible to have both the TT and BBL at the same time...how would I be able to avoid being on my backside. I was told that initially for about 3-4 days I wouldn't have a choice but to be on my back due to the incision from the TT as well as my abdominal muscles being so tight after the repair. One thing that stands out in my mind is the morning of the surgery as I was being marked, I could feel where the doctor was making all his markings. I mentioned to him that I thought those areas were "too high" in my butt and his response was that once the fat settles, it would drop down. So after the surgery and initially while still in the hospital, I was happy with my butt. This must have been the swelling and the fact it was immediately after my surgery. It was well beyond 3-4 days that I was on my backside and at least one full week before I could even lay on my sides. Long story short, I was left with a "high booty" and everything that may have been in the lower portion of my butt was essentially smashed every day that I was laying on my back.
Fast forward and I've now found a new surgeon, Dr. Wilberto Cortes in Houston, TX that will be doing my surgery! I had my consult a little over a week ago and initially scheduled a surgery date in April. Waiting until April is going to drive me crazy and I called yesterday to see if there were any surgery dates available within the next 60 days. Much to my surprise there are and I'm now having surgery on January 7th! Excited & nervous at the same time!!! Due to not being happy with my last results, I sometimes question what if I end up feeling the same way? At the same time, I've been researching Dr. Cortes and his work for a little over a year now. That is what makes me feel confident. I'm not having any other procedures like I did the first time with the old doctor. I don't foresee having any issues being totally on my stomach. Even with the lipo, I'm expecting this to be a lot more tolerable pain wise than my previous surgery.

Ok so it's Sunday evening and I'm now on my countdown to surgery! I can't believe how close it is. All I find myself thinking about is the surgery, my new booty, and everything related to it! I'll be sure to post some pre-op pics once I make it to Houston.

Pre-op Day!!!!!!!
So my wife and I left home early this morning and made it to Houston despite the rain and horrible traffic. I had my pre-op with Dr. Cortes first and honestly I was a little nervous after the nurse came in and took my stats. I gained weight (which I did intentionally) because in my mind, the more fat the better booty! The nurse asked "how much weight did the doctor say you needed to lose?" I wasn't given any order to lose weight during my consultation so thank goodness when Dr. Cortes came in, my weight gain wasn't an issue. After my pre-op with Dr. Cortes, I had my pre-op at the hospital. Now we're checked into the hotel and I'm just counting down the hours. Pray for me ladies! I'll update as soon as I'm able to.

I had a TT before my BBL and pain wise for the TT was a greater pain due to the muscles being so tight.
With the BBL the worst part is having to be on your stomach. Face down all the time leaves you dizzy and nauseated. I swore I would not do it again but I am now lookin into round 2.
I wish you the best of luck!
The BBL was the worst because my surgeon took most of my fat from my back & i was on my stomach for about 4 months.
B4 my BBL I actually spoke and met with one of my surgeon patients before my procedure.
Also there is no guarantee with the BBL everyone is different.
snatched with some lipo.......God Bless.....wish u all the best
