Constipation

bodylift2017
$18,900

Since Thursday I have been doubled over with pain. I’ve kept up with stool softeners, done suppositories and now three enemas. Every time I eat I have excruciating pain. Any device? I’m close o long o minor emergency to let them clean me out . I can’t handle this pain. Afraid of puking too much since I also had muscle repair. I’m 4.5 week’s post op.

Call you PS ... PLEASE !!!

Thank you for your reply! Thank goodness my PS gives me his cell number and I can call or text any time. His first response was suppositories and second was Fleet enemas. Yesterday I really took it easy on food but by last night I had hubby get laxatives for me. Today I am at work and took a break from the torture compression device I typically stay in just to give my tummy a break. Feeling much better today. Felt so bad that all I did was lay in recliner yesterday while rest of family decorated for Christmas. I even slept which is so unheard of for me during the day. I go this week to be fitted for my second stage garment that will hopefully continue to get rid of the rest of the swelling specifically in my thighs. I asked him last week when they removed my last draing (yay!) if I should expect my legs to continue to shrink and he said OH YES! I can't wait!!! Again thanks for your response. I have to say that was the worst pain ever and as much as I wanted to cry I did not!

You should maybe go to er or call ur doc, sounds really uncomfortable. You look awesome though, feel better.

Today is better. I have been watching what I eat. The benefit is that I am really not over eating at all and making sure I keep hydrated. If the pain comes back I will definitely be headed to a minor ER to maybe get a clinical strength enema done. No shame here anymore when it is that much pain, you really just want relief.

I am so sorry to hear about your problem with constipation.. if there is anyway you can purchase a KANGEN WATER MACHINE I would highly advise you to do so.. I made sure I had purchased one before I started my procedures .. it hydrate you plus helps the healing process… Not only does it make you pretty on the outside also on the inside which I thinks more important .. puts your body in a state where it can start getting rid of toxins and healing itself. I found that out first hand whenever I had a bedsore that I could not get rid of and started drinking the water within three days it was almost gone… my surgeon can not believe how well I bounce back from my surgery because I did have complications and he actually brought the nurse in and showed her how well I looked considering what my poor body went through

Surgery was on the 9th and here is a before and some after photos. I’m still swelling and have two drains left but hope to have those out Wednesday. Lots of bruising from lipo which is the most painful part. I? can’t wait to be able to get to the gym. Tapering off my pain meds and still doing the shots each day to prevent blood clots.

I think you look amazing! A little surprised that your PS did your arms @ same time as your LBL. I feel so much more at ease seeing that you have a waist!! My vertical LBL and breast lift is in three weeks, and while I trust my PS very much, I still have a fear of looking boxy!
How are you feeling now that it's been maybe two weeks? Any tips youd like to pass on?
Thanks!

He only did lipo on my arms, no cutting thank goodness I did not need that. I do have a friend on here who had the LBL, arm lift and BA/BL. She is a trooper!!!

You are looking GREAT !!!
... I know the recover SUCKS !!!
You may want to consider compression knee high socks. I got 15mmHg strength on amazon. Anything stronger will be too hard to put on. I wore my socks for the first month. Although, I needed help to get them on for the first 6 weeks. I wear them now while I am at my desk or long driving to keep from swelling, now. Eventually, the swelling will stop for the both of us ... maybe next year :)

I really do need to get more compression socks. What I’m having the most issue with bare my arms. The things I got Army PS’s Office are a joke and a pain! The snap around my bra strap and are so irritating so I’m back to ace bandages. Feeling better with each day. Hubby has told me to sit on my arse the rest of weekend so I’m really ready To return to work Monday. Do you know how hard that is for me? My house needs cleaning and it’s a shopping weekend! Ugh!!! Samk86 thank you for the compliment! I don’t know what that little role is at the bottom but I can definitely tell my hips are not s wide. He removed 5 pounds of tissue so I think that has something to do with that!

Emotional Day

So I am just so used to being independent. I have never had a great partner to help me raise my kids let alone help me through any type of medical issue. I just have always had this idea that I can do it myself. Well let me tell you this surgery has taught me two things: this one cannot be done alone and I am blessed to have my husband who has been my absolute angel. I cried with him tonight for all of his help and understanding. He amazes me every single day. How I ever got so lucky I will never know. He is the most patient, kind, caring, giving, loving man I have ever met and this man is mine forever. I am in awe at his giving nature and how he takes care of me no matter how he is feeling. I just can't say anything more to describe his love and dedication to me. He loved me the day he met me, as I have gained and lost weight, gone through stuff with my kids and ex and all the while saying bring it on, whatever life brings I am here and not going anywhere. I do not know how God chose me to be the one to be so blessed to be his wife but I will be forever grateful for this man.

I am 5 days post op and it is still a struggle. The swelling is so real. For some reason I had a reaction to the tape that left blisters and that has never been an issue so the backs of my legs where there were incisions for lipo are really soar. He has been helping with ointment and non stick bandages on those at the same time helping me get in and out of the compression garments which are not easy.

This is the first time I have had liposuction so wondering if the hard areas are normal afterwards. The swelling is just so bad right now.

Hoping to have good news tomorrow at the doctor's office.

Today my drains have put out 15cc, 35cc and 30cc.

I think he will take out the 1 drain but will leave the other two until next visit.

It gets better- I had LBL on 10/30/17 here in Sacramento and I was in surgery by 9:00 out by 11:15 and home by 2:15 pm. I have been sleeping in an anti-gravity outdoor lounger! Hard as hell!!! I couldn't stand straight for 10 days! I use a cane to support myself and to Lyft to my 2 day post-op Dr. visit!!! That was funny! No one could take me so I found a way!!!! Give yourself some time to heal your wounds and soul! My results are beautiful-I wish I did this sooner.

You are soooo blessed to have a man who is soooo wonderful. They are really soooo hard to find. He will be your rock for more weeks to come until you have your energy back. With me that was at 6 weeks - but others, it was 3-4 weeks.

My swelling got worse with the compression girdle in my legs - everybody is different. The best thing you can do for yourself is DON'T DO! Except your walking, so you don't get blood clots.
I made the mistake at week 2, feeling so good, that I did too much. It set me back 2 weeks in recovery. PS gave me heck for doing so. What I did wrong was moving my torso side to side (twisting) to do things. Pretend you have a brace on from neck to hips so you can't twist.

Your drains are your BF. You want to keep them in place for as long as the doc says to. At 3.5 weeks, I had one drain taken out and at 4 weeks the excess fluid came through my incision - a lot. I am at 7 weeks and that area in the incision is still draining a little.

My doc said no non-stick bandages - cause they don't breathe. You may want ask your doc on that.

Good Luck at doc's tomorrow ...
