4 Weeks Post-Op

WORTH IT$11,000
Healing is going well. Pain and soreness is completely gone, now I’m focusing on breast shaping and incision healing. I’m down to a 36DD (breasts are still swollen) and am still wearing a balconette style underwire bra to assist with molding the breasts. It has to be worn 24 hours a day (sans showering) and I’m pretty much over wearing brad but I want a good result. Additionally, I started wearing silicone sheeting to help lessen tension on my incisions and minimize scarring. The sheets are worn for 10 days straight, removed, incisions are gently cleaned and sheeting is reapplied for a total of 45-60 days. Hoping this helps as it is quite expensive. Hope it’s worth it.
Here are 4 week post-op photos taken with the silicone sheeting applied to incisions.

great job. I'm waiting for my insurance approval. do you have nipple sensation? that's what I'm afraid of losing.

my nipples are actually more sensitive now than they ever used to be. it’s pretty crazy! I am still shocked by how sensitive they are...I never lost feeling in them even the first day after surgery.

What post-op bra did you choose? I’m having the procedure in June.

One Week Post-op - Bellasoma Breast Reduction

rjmamalove

One week post op with photos.

I had the surgery on Thursday and left on Sunday night which was probably too soon but my kids wanted me back home for New Year’s Eve so I came home early. I left Houston 3 days post op and I wouldn’t recommend that. Stay as long as you can as the travel was exhausting, even though the flight was direct.

The drains were still producing more than Dr. H wanted at my last visit so he left them in rather than removing them too early and risking swelling and other complications. He cut the stitches which attached them to my skin and instructed me on how to remove them once I got home. Mind you, all of this occurred at his office on a Sunday afternoon. They made a special trip to the office to see me and I was so grateful.

Once I got home, the right drain was removed on January 1 and was EXCRUCIATING!! Honestly, the only thing comparable is child birth and I have 3 kids!! I tried to remove it myself but couldn’t force myself to inflict that level of pain on myself. So my mom had to do it. It was brutal but quick. That was literally the worst part of the ENTIRE surgical procedure!

The Left drain was removed on January 3rd without pain due to left side numbness that hasn’t recovered. Both nipples have maintained sensitivity so that is encouraging. Shape looks good with left breast more round and right still a little lumpy. Wound is closed and scar seems to be healing nicely. Overall, the girls look great! Back pain is immediately relieved and I already need a smaller bra...36DDD (was a 38DDD post-op and 38F pre-op).
