I always hated my nose. It's flat and I can't wear any glasses properly. I decided to get rhinoplasty done so I can move on with my life and no longer dwell on what could be. Right now I am 6 day post op and I cannot wait for the cast to come off. The stitches and the casts feels uncomfortable and I have not washed my hair cause I can't get the incision on my ear wet. Tomorrow is my 1st post op appointment.
This is what I got worked on:
Bridge using ear cartilage
Tip
Alar base reduction
I asked for a subtle/natural change on the bridge cause I know that a high bridge will not look right on my face.
If you have any questions for me, feel free to comment or send a PM.

I love my results. I am so glad I chose Dr. Funk. It looks natural yet my nose is smaller and more defined. The bridge and tip is alittle high because of swelling but that will come down.
I use to want to go to Korea because for asian rhinoplasty, many people recommend going overseas. I thought about the possible complications that can happen and how difficult it would be if there were problems. I am so glad I stuck with my gut. There are highly skilled doctors in the U.S. too. Just make sure to choose those that have experience bringing up a bridge, not just taking down.

I am not an expert or know much about goretex but have you thought about using your own cartilage or bone for the bridge? My doctor said for my tip and bridge, he used my septal and ear cartilage. It felt great knowing that it came from my body. I am not against goretex but theres alot of information on it from other patients and doctors on this site. Goodluck!

It was really sore for the first 5 days but now it's not as sore anymore. Now I'm dealing with a really itchy nose, especially the inside.

Some swelling have went down so now it look more natural. I was worried about the scarring but the doctor gave me a scar gel to use. Right now my main concern is the small bump on top of the bridge and uneven nostrils. Both of these concerns doesn't really show on pictures and I know that it is normal. I am still healing so these concerns are minor. The inside of my nose and at th base is always itchy!! I think that it's because I am healing the nerves are reconnecting. My smile is also coming back slowly. When I laugh too hard, it does feel stiff but it's not nearly as stiff as a week ago. I try not to laugh or smile too widely but that can be really hard.... anyways, let me know if you have any questions for me.
