I forgot to mention

that I never lost any nipple sensation. I even checked on the way home from the hospital. I was surprised because I thought they would be numb for a little while.

I have 5 kids, including a set of twins, ranging in age from 26 - 9. I extended nursed all of them, for a grand total of nearly 12 years of my life spent pregnant or breastfeeding. Needless to say, this was not kind to my boobs :(

I've spent the past year working hard to get in shape. I eat clean, I run, I bike, I loved the way my body looks, except for my mom boobs.

I started researching surgeons early this summer. I'm luck to live in a city (Houston) with many options for plastic surgeons. I was thrilled to find this site and spent hours reading reviews. I ended up consulting with three surgeons. Dr. Lomonaco was the 2nd surgeon I met with and I left his office knowing that he was the one who was going to do my surgery.

Dr Lomonaco is so warm and engaging, from the moment I met him, I felt at ease with his humorous banter and engaging manner. I was at his office for 2 hours for the initial consult. Not only was he incredibly easy to talk to, he LISTENED to what I said and made me feel like he had all the time in the world for me. I was also impressed with how well he knew his extensive client base. After he examined me he knew exactly which pictures to pull up on his computer, that were similar to mine.

The surgery itself was a breeze. I live about 70 miles away, so I stayed at a local hotel and Uber'd to the hospital early the next morning. Dr. L prescribes Valium for the night before surgery, so I slept like a baby and was the calmest person in the waiting room (I'm normally extremely anxious, so this was amazing!!). They called me back, hooked me up to an IV, Dr. L and Destiny came in to mark me up, I was wheeled into surgery, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in recovery.

As others have said on this site, the pain was similar to that of the letdown of milk, mixed with the feeling that you did a little too much at the gym. When I woke in recovery the nurse asked me to rate my pain on a scale of 1-10. I said "4" and she put something in my IV.. within minutes, I felt no pain at all.

I have to say, the worst part of the surgery and even the recovery, was my throat! I was SO thirsty going into surgery, I had begged for a small sip of water or an ice chip, but they said no. My throat was so dry and parched that i knew the tube was going to make it worse and it did. My throat hurt way more than my boobs did for the first couple of days! I was off all meds by Day 3 or so.. I think I took Ibuprofen on Day 4 but it was for a headache. Honestly, the pain was nothing.

Dr. Lomonaco warned me that my boobs would look really weird at first and he wasn't kidding! The first time I took off the Ace bandage (I was so afraid to look!).. they did look pretty wonky! Pointing East and West, my nipples looked too small and uneven. I wasn't worried, because he told me to expect this. Besides, they were PERKY!!! I was sooo happy with how they looked, so cute and tight and perky!! Nothing like my mom boobs.

I'm 9 days post op and sure enough, they are slowly coming together (literally). They are no longer pointing east and west, my bruising is almost totally gone, and the surgical glue is starting to come off (the incisions look REALLY good). I have had a seroma on both sides that has now been aspirated twice, but I think it's getting better and Dr. L's office is on top of it, so I'm not concerned.

I didn't take any before pictures. I really disliked the way my boobs looked before. I might post some of the healing pictures soon, but the one I posted was taken at 8 days post op. This is the first time in my life I've been able to go braless.. I love Dr. Lomonaco and my new boobs!

It's all true. He's that good! I can't say enough about my experience with Dr. Lomonaco. He was so warm and engaging during our initial consult (nearly 2 hours!). He was realistic and honest about what I could expect from surgery and even talked me out of doing a second procedure. His staff is AMAZING! Chela and Destiny called every day to check on me and Stephanie has always been so sweet and helpful. So far, I'm thrilled with my results. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner!
