The women in my family have weak chins which causes the fat and collagen in the cheeks to sag in a way that makes me look 20 years older than my age. In addition my jawline was hardly noticeable. I'm 5'6" and 135lbs so losing weight was unlikely to improve this.
My profile is much improved 2 weeks post-op. Front view my cheekbones are subtly more prominent making for a more balanced face.
Didn't bruise at all. Swelling was most severe 48 to 72 hours post-op. Didn't take any of the prescription pain medications, just OTC. Honestly getting your bikini waxed is more painful than this.

Most noticeable difference since implant is no more overbite smile... And the extra horizontal volume from the implant makes my face ever so slightly more heart shaped and not enlongated/tired.

your implant looks so great. i'm scheduled to do one soon and i'm super nervous. i'm a nervous wreck i dunno what to do with myself.

I was super nervous too, but then I remind myself that if I didn't have nerves before something like surgically altering my appearance then I would have waaaay bigger psychological problems ;)
But seriously. This is a painless 100% reversible procedure. Hang in there :)

Ok thanks so much. Seriously I really love your results. It looks so natural and love that it did make your face a bit heart shaped and very nice. I might ask you some questions when I'm going through it so hope that's ok. I love getting massages, do you think with a chin implant I can still do it? You know where you put your head in the cushion thing face down, I'm afraid the pressure will be uncomfortable? Thanks!

Hey no problem! And yes massages are go... I just got one this past weekend and I'm 4 weeks post op? The scar has hardened (expected) but I massage that a little so that it will soon go away.

Ok that's a relief. Like do you mean you massage your face and it is good or go to massage parlor and put face down in the head cushion and the implant doesn't hurt or move when that happens? Thanks

The improvement is obvious for your before and after pics. Could you add more pics of your before and after frontal views? Also, what size and type did you have implanted? Thanks,
Ms. George
And my doctor used a medium I think. 9mm?
As far as size he asked if I wanted small or medium. I have large eyes, dramatic brows, and not-small nose so I felt comfortable going for the medium. People with more delicate features should probably stick to small. Large seems to be reserved for those with severe chin recession.
