WORTH IT
If I had one piece of advice/suggestion, I could tell to anyone thinking of having hair restoration surgery, I would tell the person this:
"Just ask to see the Doctor's portfolio of before and after pics".
Dr. Arocha has an encyclopedia of before and after surgery photos and they speak for themselves. If you want to know more about my experience then read on. Much RESPECT to Dr. Arocha and his team!!!
UPDATED REVIEW!! PART 2. I just got done with my second procedure which was actually a continuation from my first procedure about 7 months ago. There was no extra charge!! If you read my first review at the bottom of this you'll know why I had a second procedure.
If you are reading this then you are either seriously thinking about having the hair surgery or you are a competitor of Dr. Arocha and hoping to read something negative. You won't find anything negative in this whole review Dr. Arocha and his staff ( Craig, Eddie, the girls ) they're awesome. As I've gone through the whole hair graph process I've learned a ton of stuff along the way from reading lots of different forums, to having 3 different consultations with 3 different companies.
When I was really starting to thin and lose hair I started off by setting up 3 consultations with 3 different companies. The first consultation was by a company you've all seen commercials for. When I went for the consult I met with a sales rep, not the Doctor who would actually be doing the procedure. The rep showed me a graph chart of one patients before and after photo. At the time I didn't know any better and figured that's how it goes, you meet a rep they tell you what's going to happen , how much it'll cost then you meet the doctor the day of surgery. For one everybody's head is different and all results won't be the same, things I learned later when Dr. Arocha explained to me.
The second consultation I went to another company and same thing. Met with a sales rep who basically makes you feel like they're trying to sell you a car and if you sign up now they'll knock off a 1000 dollars. I had 3 consultations set up, Dr. Arocha being the last consultation I had.
Dr. Arocha was actually the one doing the consultation and he drove up from Houston to Austin for it. He was the coolest nicest guy, wasn't trying to push anything on to me. He basically told me how it was and was the only one who pulled out his computer and showed me numerous before and after pictures of his actual patients and surgeries he did. He was an open honest book. When it came to price it was about a dollar more a graph compared to the other guys and knowing what I know now I'd have paid even more. He's awesome at what he does and he has thousands literally thousands of before and after pictures to prove it. I couldn't believe my before and after pics from my first surgery it was insane. I can only imagine what my hair will look like in another 6 months after this last surgery I just had on Friday 3/25/16.
I'm writing this cause I was that guy ?freaking out about my hair and scouring every hair forum there was on the Internet. I didn't find Dr. Arocha because he had a commercial with a guy from the Brady Bunch pitching how good he is. I found him by doing research and time and time again patients of his said there is a doctor in Houston who is amazing. They were all right and I couldn't be happier. Just ask to see before and after pics wherever you go. Dr.Arocha's before and after pics are like a book of art. So awesome. Thank you Dr. Arocha and thank you Craig!!!!!!!!
PART 1.
I can't say enough good things about the experience I just had. 7-31-15. Dr arocha and his sidekick Craig r awesome. Also HONEST. THE DR told me he didn't put all the grafts in I paid for and that he wanted to wait and see n a few months where to put the rest. He never had 2 to me and I never would've known any different. The only bad reviews are from his completion who hate cause they knowdominates the field. Much love to the team at Arocha. P Hanz-Austin,TX by way of Portland ????
